This will be cool for me as I’m buying this for my husband’s birthday for his new car. He hasn’t got his new car just yet so this will be handy until he gets it. We’ve always hardwired our previous Thinkwares and it makes parking mode super reliable and doesn’t drain the car battery. Excellent review, thanks again!
Does a Dashcam plug into a car when you use a USB charger? Does it play any music? Does it let you see the back screen of the car when you’re backing up your car?
Dashcams either us a cigarette lighter power cable or a hard wiring kit. And no dashcams don't play music or act as a backup camera. Check out my review of the Blackboxmycar Smartdrive, if you install that device it can act as a backup camera.

Thanks for watching! It depends on your phone how it's set up...either your photo gallery or download folder. Or you can take the microsd card out and download it straight to your computer
Hi there, yes this is the only dash cam that has both the THINKWARE Connected service and the ability to record up to 5 channels with the multiplexer box.
Hi there, no it should not as our dash cams have a built-in voltage monitoring system where the dash cam will automatically shut off if the voltage drops below the threshold. If you're worried about battery drainage, you can install our dash cam with an external battery where the external battery will charge while your driving and the dash cam will draw from the external battery while parked.

Other ones definitely do cuz my battery was dead after a few days of leaving a dashcam plugged in on parking mode over a few nights.
