My resolution for 2020 is to be fully out to my family. It’s absolutely terrifying, as my father and grandmother will probably disown me for a bit, but there’s nothing more incredible than being truly yourself and stop having to hide or lie by omission. I’ve loved the Clarins lip oils for years! And that purse is to die for!! 2020 resolution. Intentional focus on achieving goals in my personal relationships (partner, friends & kids) and my professional life, really showing up and being present in those areas of my life. I’ve been super insular and and “isolated” the past 4 years, doing the basic “have to’s” to get through without dropping the ball. I had to wait 2 years for a surgery to help minimize an issue that’s been seriously affecting my life for decades. And it had gotten much worse the past 5 years. Last year i got the surgery and I was focused on recovering from it and getting by. In the past 5 years I’ve really developed some habits that helped me survive, but honestly are becoming more of a hindrance than a help to me now. So yeah, time to let them go and thrive instead of just survive. Happy New Year!

i literally giggled imagining Dejan going through all the comment multiples, bless it - keep it classy with the ONE comment, y'all 😂 I came out with my girlfriend of two years at the start of 2019 and it was quite the emotional disaster. We both come from very southern, religious parents and it was my worst nightmare. However, by the end of this year, I was invited to her family's Christmas celebration and had a present under the tree with my name on it. She was invited to my brother's graduation in December and both of my parents called her by name and gave her a hug. I know these are super small victories but, I still cry thinking about it. ALL THAT TO SAY, in 2020 I really hope the relationships with our families continue to grow and find love in all the spaces we couldn't before. Thank you for being a light and distraction from pain for me at the beginning of this year. Those make up videos meant more than you could imagine. They were my happy escape for those 15 minutes.
