It's a traditional dance style of the Métis people (descendants of intermarriage between Indigenous peoples and early European traders and explorers in Central/Western North America who developed a culture distinct from that of their parent cultures), which is called square dance. It is not the same as western square dance or the various old square dance traditions of Europe.

My grandfather used to play for our communities'. It died away, what a shame. This group is in such good shape. woww.
