You say not good live, I don't get it, except maybe the energry. But they're crammed in the KEXP studio. Just close your eyes and listen, they are so incredibly tight. I'm 34 years old and this is the music I grew up listening to. I love these guys.
So satisfying to find something really really good in today's sea of musical empty calories...this is fantastic. Hope they keep following whatever is guiding them now...
Saw them live at Allegheny College's coffee shop in Meadville PA. These guy are actually very good live, and the sound is loud and kicks hard. Great stuff!
saw them last night at an interpol gig!!! they were soo good live it was crazy!!! your man has a sensational voice!!! fuck people saying they have potential!! they have it!!
@mac197710 i completely agree! its nice to listen to something simple and calming, this song it self is very different from what main stream artists are doing today and therefore i am a fan of surfer blood :)
This is like the greatest tidbits and riffs I ever made and fooled around with, with my old high school band except multiply it times 1000x better and smoother
you should check out, Hear Hums, MichelleBlades, and totally nebular. Good floridian musicians. great actually, in my opinion. come from the same area pretty much surfer blood does.
@pyite23 yeah they definatly are realllyyy good live. Ive seen them twice. The first time, the energy was through the roof but the sound was pretty off. Next time, they were amazing. They really are a tight group. They know their equipment and really work to be good. I cant even tell you how many times ive played their album
@dandyclaire it may sound a tiny bit like weezer ( I don't think so, but to each his own ) but it's more likely they were influenced by the same artists, as in the beach boys or anything else with the 'surf' drums from the 60's.
I disagree with everyone saying they have potential but not quite there. There is a simplicity in their music that I thoroughly enjoy in a sea of overproduced shit these days.
Who cares about vocal reverb? I've seen them live a couple of times and they do fine without it. The only thing I don't understand is why they can't play that one part around 2:23 like they do on record.
"Never regret getting older as it's a privilege denied to many." RIP Thomas. You'll live forever through Astro Coast. What an album.
Man, I saw these guys at a record store in San Diego...awesome young kids making it happen. RIP to the young guitarist . Thanks for the awesome vibes
This was the first song I heard from SB back in 2009. You will be missed Thom.

Absolutely love the song. Instruments and effects 10/10, singing 6/10.
RIP Thomas Fekete :(
Your name has numbers in it, AND the word extreme? You must really be an amazing expert on anything and everything.
saw them at splendour in the grass 2010. They were soo chill. Bestest set!
such a sick band, they make me wanna make an indie/surf/rock band
Great cant wait for their Album to come!
First, I'll going to take you on a tour of my playlist and show you its quirks and features. Then I'm gonna get it out on the road and drive it.
I really like this band now :)
This is like the greatest tidbits and riffs I ever made and fooled around with, with my old high school band except multiply it times 1000x better and smoother
Ahhh the drummer is AWESOME. I love him
i know him he sadly quit the band in 2013
Great band! Great songs! I have seen them live quite a few times and they deliver the goods!

great tune...surfer blood, i dig it!
i'm wearing the same headphones as these guys, is it wrong that i'm kind of having a fangasm?
@sensodyneuser Did you get fired by these guys or something?
@TheDanSandwich I'll second that. I mean, this album is fucking incredible. I can't stop listening to it. I hope they will improve live.
2020
@Jeepyismylove totally agree with you
They're already good ...

What pickups are they using? single coil or noiseless?
@dandyclaire

The guy playing bass is playing a fender, right?
I think so
That guy's baby-face is so cute! XD
@hippiesmurphy what makes you say that..........thought he was pretty tight the whole time?
Is it just me, or does this track sound like 'Till Victory' by Patti Smith at the start?
This song is great, and it sounds even better here, without the lead singer drenched in reverb.
same
I disagree with everyone saying they have potential but not quite there.

this song reminds me so much of Pavement
How young are these guys? Are they even 20?
I'll admit they're not exactly innovative, but this is pretty much flawless summertime rock.
Rip dude...#fuckcancer
@TheSurfinlife i'm pretty sure they do make that bro, no lies.
21 NOVEMBER HMH AMSTERDAM; SUPPORT ACT INTERPOL :):):)
The song Yo La Tengo and Guided By Voices forgot to make.
Pandora is in every town
Anyone else here from the Doug Demuro Cybertruck video?
Get your friki diki napkin x)
Its a real shame this kid can't sing. Still the best thing to ever come from Florida though.
great old pixies feel goin on.. i digg
So are your parents but you still love them, right?
listen...
sheryl waters....hot
bunbarys mom fuck no
I was expecting more shitty reverbed tripe in the vein of Wavves or Sleigh Bells, this actually isn't bad.
base my knowledge on my youtube name, good choice!
These guys really need to research how to get some Live Vocal Reverb. They're really dependent on it on the record, why try and not use it live?
Who cares about vocal reverb? I've seen them live a couple of times and they do fine without it. The only thing I don't understand is why they can't play that one part around 2:23 like they do on record.
lead singer beat the shit out of his girlfriend.
sounds more like pavement to me.
these guys definitely dont surf but they sound good lol
and kinda stoney haha
not to his girlfriend, he isn't.
i love it so much, but i just hate the guys voice!
totally irrelevant but they look like 8th graders lol they got potential, much improvement needed though
not as good as the pixies though.......obviously
snl joke fail.
