Speaking from expire as someone who enjoys 1.8 ssg at that point it’s likely that the dragon would charge before you beat the enferman, and you wouldn’t be able to move fast enough
That definitely could have helped but since 1.8 has different enderman ai than 1.7, the enderman would have stayed agro on eliotex

Remember when sub15 in 1.16+ was considered cheated and too lucky to repeat ever (korb)? Yeah, now pre1.9 is "viable" for a sub15
korbanoes’s run was considered cheating because of his world files beinh uploaded before the completion of the run or something along those lines because of how google displays time standard time and not the time on ur pv
nobody ever thought it was too lucky or impossible to repeat. you clearly weren’t around or just don’t pay attention
@@minaxaArt rereading my comment, I did not make a mistake in what I said, but worded it badly such that it might be understood incorrectly.
It was (as the first reply mentions) considered cheated and even removed because of a time discrepancy on the file (and was suspected because of certain play patterns that could indicte that it was scouted). This was later shown to be false for a variety of reasons, but compounded on that view of scouting the seed, as he could have played the seed until he got his pearl luck.
Separately, it was also considered highly unlikely to beat (as Bastion strats hadn't been implemented yet) due to the insane luck on pearls, especially on such a good seed.
And yes, I was around before then, remember the controversy well, and have continued to stay in tune with speedrunning through the developments since.

There's a lot of nepotism and bias in the inner mc speedrun community. They don't like it when new people do well.
Dude this run was insane. This really shows the potential of pre 1.9 trading strats and I think this will be the new meta

this is one of the luckiest run in pre1.9 category, but it still can be beaten with less luck, so keep gridning

@@Eliotex Couriway in an interview (I don’t remember which one) said that trading is on his list “to do” after his 100 hardcore completions. So that’ll hopefully bring some recognition to these strats

The Tower of Cruel Punishment (or ToCP for short) is an ascension-based, Catastrophic Peak Catastrophic difficulty tower located in Emblem R Ring 9. It is the hardest canon tower in JToH. It is also a community tower made by 1fren6. It was confirmed for Ring 9 along with Tower of High Adrenaline, Tower of Augmented Misery, and Tower of Bent Trauma.
This tower is known for being very unforgiving, punishing, and long. It is also known for being the current hardest canon tower in the entire game. It also has frequent outside sections, and is filled to the brim with instakills. If you want to play the old version, it can be played here, and if you want to play the new version, it can be played here.
It is recommended to beat this after every tower currently in-game, as this is the hardest and most unforgiving tower (hence the name) in The Great Inferno. This should also be beaten after you have mastered most of the mechanics and gimmicks you have learned so far, as this tower contains most of the basic glitches you can find along your quest in the deep inferno.
