Canada's Electricity Sector in 2020

2020 was an extraordinary year with many challenges. Canada's electricity sector demonstrated its outstanding resiliency by adapting and continuing despite the COVID-19 pandemic. As part of Electricity Human Resources Canada's Awards of Excellence 2020 ceremony, we wanted to reflect on this past year and recognize the accomplishments of the over 100,000-strong workforce keeping the lights on across Canada.

Canadians are so brilliant at keeping power going and getting it back on when it goes out. I live in Maine, USA, and we call on them frequently when we have a bad storm. And the power gets back on much faster when we do. Thank you Canada! True friends and good, smart people!
