@@hypernoxious No they didn't but the Vex aesthetic is very strong in Remnant, that's what I was referring too; with the geometrical stone labyrinths and overgrown ruins. And the Vex are very much Greek/Roman inspired too
It's wildly inconsistent. The main story writing and acting is cringe, while the Yaesha planet has some of the best worldbuilding and acting in a soulslike game I've ever seen. Same goes for the gameplay. the N'Erud open world is a frustrating 4/10 slog against copy-paste enemies, while a few of this game's boss fights are creative peaks in the genre. In total I'd give the game a 7.5/10, but recommend a co-op playthrough if only because combining a third person shooter with a soulslike works very well mechanically and there's a ton of unexplored design space that some other franchise could nail to make the GOTY contender that this game could have been.
@@alexjgilpin Strange - I found Yaesha to be a total slog like in game 1, but Nerud, that was some fascinating shit...still better story writing overall than Fromsoft games, that's for sure...

In a game that is about parallel universes and space time travel , things are going to get a bit wild. The only thing for me is how chilled my character is about traveling between these crazy worlds as if it was something casual , sure Ford kinda deep dived us with info but would be cool to meet other travellers while playing but i guess thats the co op.
How fun it is to watch what you think is video 3 of a playthrough only to be told the actual part 3 is on a channel with 0 videos yet.
