I was expecting someone is going to show this 4 months back before it began in the U.S and i also use this method for spectrum TV
sadly no
Netflix's new policy to track your IP is wrong. I cancelled cable TV years ago and subscribed to streaming services because I have a second home and should not have to pay twice for the same service. Under the new Netflix policy, I could be in Florida for my Winter getaway for a couple of months and, lose Netflix because I'm unable to log back in from my home location every 30 days!
It is THEIR property...not yours.
Excellent information, thanks for sharing this solution. I've already cancelled my Netflix on the principal that they're going to raise prices to put funding into a company that combats piracy along with other streaming services that are also raising their rates. There hasn't been anything new or particularly desirable to watch on there anyway. I do plan to start using an ad blocker and a VPN to attempt to stream my local American football team's games this coming season. It looks like I will need 4 different services for the different days of the week that they may be on. If this becomes too pricey then I'm definitely going to give sailing a try.
I'm ok with locking you to the number of users at one given time, but using ONE of your access screens outside your house. I get two screens with my account, so, in theory, I should be able to watch two screens any where I please or let one of my kids (away in school) use it. So, I have no issue "cheating" the system to give her that access. NF can KMA.
I pay extry for extra spots on mine and the bastards blocked my daughters. I'm going to use this Fu*k them.
Thank you very much. Now I know the missing parts. But I think, I will cancel Netlix instead. But really good to know 😉😁
Hey thanks for the video! Seems easy enough, was wondering how this would work for logging on via a tv's built in app? Does the tv have to have open vpn in thier app store? Or is there a way to make it so the tv's wifi connection is spoofed from the open vpn?
OR you could just cancel Netflix and not support corporate greed. 🏴☠
We are just cancelling Netflix
Yeah that’s a fair call
Sail the high seas!
Simple solution. Tell me if you heard this before. Delete it and cancel your subscription. Done. Now you don’t have to worry about ever evolving rules to enrich the rich and you can keep your money and do something positive with it instead.
new to me, thank you :)
@@TechManPat lol
I agree, pay or not, but don’t steal. If it’s truly family, maybe, but it’s hardly the end of the world to lose. Plenty of free options for content.
I would argue the statement that most routers don’t have this function. It’s worth checking, and there are other options, but this is getting more standard.
Hi, do i need to connect to VPN once in a month on every device on the network? What about TVs?
I think you should mention that this only works if you have a public ip but now most don't so this doesn't work
Yeah, it’s flawed & will cause endless frustration for legitimate end users.
I can’t imagine them ending up with any financial net gain out of this. The people that have the account shared to them, are often unable or unwilling to pay for a subscription.. 🤦🏻♂️
I mean why would you be willing to pay for it if you only use it very rarely?
@@FernandoHernandez-jw4yy that’s right.. someone that currently uses their family members account to watch 2 movies a month is unlikely to bother having a subscription.
Do I have to buy a VPN first, like Nord?. Thanks Pat.
No this is you own personal vpn on the modem
@@TechManPat Cool thanks mate 👍.
Amazing program
how can they ban sharing when everybody has, not only dynamic IP addresses but multiple IP addresses? Every time people in one household access netflix out of the house on their phone it's from a different IP address... i thought they actually did their crackdown, it consisted of making everybody re-login, and making the owner of the account confirm each login is part of their household. What more can they actually do?
The multiple IP addresses in the home network are private. Netflix will only see the public IP address. Watching on different devices doesn't expose the private network IP addresses. It will still be seen as the same public IP address.
You are correct the public address supplied by the ISP is not static. Have you ever checked your IP address? It will always show the general location of your house. There are numerous ways to pinpoint your location with greater accuracy.
The smartphone on WiFi is just another device in the home. On the mobile network it can be triangulated to the home address.
Netflix can get around this hack in a flash. They likely assume the benefit of stopping 90+ percent of the people is worth not taking greater measures until it becomes an issue.
@@penultimatename6677 What hack can they get around in a flash? Using a local VPN? How? Like it was said in the video. It is impossible to tell that you are connecting through a VPN at a home. Netflix literally has zero ways to get around it.
I use a Telstra Gen 2 which doesn't have VPN capability. Any other workaround?
Thankyou
Arr matey, thanks for the video but I be thinking it's the high seas for me
I wish you fair wind ever and always :P
You may or may not be Violating your terms of service. As my mom used to say, “Let your conscience be your guide.” That said, also be aware of the number of connections you have. Unless you pay extra, you may not be able to watch more than one stream simultaneously, even in the same home.
Does this workaround only apply to using Netflix on your computer or phone? Our daughter is away at college with a Roku and uses our login.
either, its just about letting them login as if they are home. thats all its super simple
How to make this to work with moving QR Codes ... and need to connect to the same WiFi.
Let’s do it!
WHAT TYPE OF TP LINK ARE YOU USING [ model ] good Video
you can see that information inside the video, bottom 3:06
tp link archer vr2100 1.0000
Hi, they did their crackdown of password sharing here in Canada. Will this work here?
Yes it should, free to try.
My to link dose not have it
How to with a Linksys router?
So does this not work with smart tvs since you need to download the openvpn app?
It can work on TV as you would connect to the Wifi on your phone for example, just for that initial handshake
If you watch a streaming service get it free from a phone carrier. Do you have a video on how to steal from Walmart?
The internet is full of people showing how to steal from Wal-Mart. That's why they had to leave Portland, San Francisco, and Chicago.
Do you have a video on how to get Netflix free from every carrier, regardless of the plan you're on? I'm not following you here. Even if you get it for free, you'd still need this video to be able to watch your subscription while traveling. If you travel every week then you basically never get to watch Netflix while traveling if you don't keep your devices constantly refreshed. That's like paying for a Costco or Sam's Club membership and having to check-in every week just to make sure you can use your membership when you actually want to.
I have no idea what I was saying about Walmart but if you have T-Mobile you can get Netflix for free I paid more because I went in 4k $11.99
I use Roku, so how do I apply this solution ?
The problem is for people with Apple TV or tv apps. There isn’t a built in vpn client.
No it’s not, because you can tether to a mobile phone with OpenVPN
@@TechManPat that’s all fine and good for tech savvy individuals, but not for those who just know how to turn on their tv and watch shows on their Apple TV/tv apps. Now we have to ask them to turn on their vpn on their phone, turn on hotspot, and then change their wifi on their device?
Unfortunately doesn't work with thie method on Android Tv and also on Samsung TV...this solution is only for windows (computer)
Why don't you just send the netflix traffic thru the "home adress" using a firewall on all the locations you are sharing netflix with. Max 4 users at the same time so max 40MBPS of you upload speed getting hogged.
What does this mean? Using a firewall?
@@vic6564 en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firewall_(computing) 😉
@@TijlDaelemans My bad. I know what a firewall is. What I mean is what does a firewall have to do with sending traffic to a specific network?
how to share Netflix via VPN - this was totally over my head, so looks like Ill have to cancel my sharing of Netflix with my daughter (its in her name) i just dont understand what to do watching even watching your video. scared Ill stuff up my computer. lol
The one problem with this is by turning on your VPN. You’re slowing down your Internet.
This is only for a one off connection
I don't think I can make this work as I have Starlink and it uses a CGNAT connection.
yep i dont think that will work sorry
It's 2023 mate
How do this through a smart tv?
You woulnt have to, just once via PC and then back to watching on TV with that login
It still works for me just fine no bypass necessary
Yeah, not yet
Yeah open up an access point for hackers ☝️😢
Im open to all people.
i didnt think the netflix password sharing ban happned yet?
This month or next i think
Just started yesterday
Just do a ban on them all resign from them no customers no business
I watched 3 videos in a row and all was fine - your video's sound is too soft.
thanks for the feedback
i have solution, it’s time to Cancel Netflix 😂
simple, but is it effective?
Hey about about for mobile or iPad?
How is this not theft?
el'natural
i would like to c this done on a normal router not a modem router, not everyone has access to the internet and modem router depending on your living situation and if sharing internet and dont have access to the modem router settings, setting arent available telco provided modem routers.
better solution. Real debrid 😂😂😂
hi i have tried this again and it didnt work @ all you have left details out and and settings and you havent covered if fails so this isnt very helpful
what if everyone using a smart tv
who wnats to watch on a phone or laptop
I want to get Netflix for free really, bragh.?
