  • From where I left off in Part One at St Johns Chapel, flying across Daddry Shield, Westgate, Brotherlee (nearly), Cambokeels and Eastgate to Stanhope. Nice and calm for flying the drone but the fog got worse as I got closer to Stanhope and there was lots of radio interference, so I stopped there. I did try for a bit more video from Stanhope industrial estate but somebody forget to press the record button :( Part one is here: • Weardale by drone. Par...

Thank you very much, it was a bit foggy and getting worse as time went by which makes things look a bit blurry, oh well, just means I appreciate the clear days more!

Thanks Stephen, I couldn't find any videos of Cambokeels, I know the main level flooded but the old horse level looked ok from the outside, Have you been in?

Hi John love the birds eye views of the dale. Unfortunately there is a planning application for a holiday park on the hillside above St Johns Chapel. We are trying to fight it and would love you to film around Sunnybanks Farm (DL13 1RF) so we could send it to the planners to give them a true sense of what we could loose. Please feel free to get in touch with the residents of East Blackdene if you can help in any way!

Hi Jane, thanks for watching the video. Part 7 of the series I've made on 'Weardale by drone' is here: ua-cam.com/video/Fnmb4cfth8w/v-deo.html it shows some of the area you are talking about. I would be happy to come and do more if that helps.

Great to see part 2 John, been eagerly waiting for this to be published. Oh my this countryside is so beautiful I just can't get enough of it. Forgive me, but I do pause it quite a bit (only on the third viewing ) so I can look in more detail of the places you fly over. Tried to find this on Google earth so I could roughly find your flight path. I didn't succeed mainly because my eyes were very tired after doing a night shift lol. Again your choice of music is perfectly blended into your flight which makes this video so very special. Loved every minute John. Well done for another awesome flight and capture.😃👍👍👍👍👍👍👌

Hi Kim, thank you very much for watching. Copy and paste this into the Google Earth search, 54 44 11 N
2 10 58 W and it should take you to the start point of Part 2. Part one started here, 54 47 00 N 2 18 48 W My route more or less follows the A689 from the Southern side in both parts. I'll probably do the same for Part 3 from Stanhope to Wolsingham. I actually flew another mile or so across Stanhope but somebody forgot to press the record button ...cough ... cough. Music is by Borrtex, I love it! I seem to be enjoying piano a lot recently :)
