@@Fubuki43 honestly, even though I was for sure expecting more interior, I LOVE the exterior, it’s like that $600 castle but minifigure-scaled(ish), I’m excited to see the rest of Hogwarts, maybe we could get the chamber of secrets, and a minifigure-scaled(ish) bridge!
This is the first year I decided that Harry Potter is now cost prohibitive. The 2021-23 Hogwarts were at my tolerance limit. I think I'm waiting on clearance now.
I feel like the reduce in scale is because a lot of pieces will be used for the detail they keep teasing, and I’m totally fine with that! The scale is never going to be accurate for an official set, but as long as it’s a fairly believable scale I’m fine with the set being read as more detailed
@@nonamer3597 then I just wouldn’t buy any Harry Potter sets… look at the scale of any Great Hall set in comparison to what would actually be required (upward of $2,000 just for that section in minifig scale). I understand the point of doorways needing to be able to accommodate minifigs, but McGonagall is also a very unconventional minifig in height because of the specialized hair/hat piece. I imagine the new great hall set will also not be to minifig scale, and the scale of that set compared with this set is probably what forced them to downsize. And if you want the doorways to accommodate every figure (at least in the HP theme) then you’ll have a very tall and awkward boathouse instead of a building where the elements are kept relatively in proportion to one another
@@Ashnflashwhile I agree with door generally should be big enough, I can tolerate exception for this - many castles had small doorways so it could just be that kind of thing here (just like beds were shorter a few centuries ago). In this case it’s the hat that doesn’t fit, so I could excuse it as part of really old architecture. I would prefer I didn’t have to think up excuses for it of course, but it’s not a deal breaker for me
I seems they like the clip system more than the old one. Not sure if it is better (the Viking village connection was hit or miss for me - great set, but not sure if the clips were the best option) - however they seem to have dedicated themselves to it (Eldorado has it, blacktron shuttle has it, I think the new medieval town as the same). Maybe it's more flexible.
I think the main reason for the boathouse to be so small is that the bigger they make it, the more they need to scale up the rest of their 'most detailed Hogwarts' yet. At any rate, the boathouse will already look disproportioned, since its actually tiny in comparison to say the Great Hall if you look at the movies, yet I like the fact they didn't make it too large either. Anyways, I am fearing that this bigger Hogwarts play set will also be their most expensive one yet. I wasn't a fan of the modular Hogwarts and actually didn't buy any of those, but I'm very excited to see this new version (their 3rd one since the restart of the theme).
I get your point about the reuse of the head on Dean Thomas, but looking back, we've had reuses for white characters like Seamus Finnigan reusing the kid's face from Jurassic park, I don't see why we shouldn't have generic faces for black characters too
@@EduardoMartinez-rs3bu ooh you want an adult Ron. Yeah now I get it. I love that it comes with four of unsorted Hogwarts robes.
GREAT 👌 ASHNFLASH LEGO HARRY POTTER Boat HOUSE REVIEW 👌
Ya this is honestly a great sorta battle pack of unsorted uniforms.
I know right
If this is just the boathouse…imagine how big and detailed the Great Hall will be…I’m intrigued! :D

Ya I’m sure most of these will find their way on discount even on Shop @ Home. I tend to wait for the annual Harry Potter promo

Have you seen the boathouse? This is anything but not fairly believable
The boathouse is quite a large building. I don’t mind them shrinking it down. But in any set, you should be able to walk through the door.

The only person missing is Hagrid. He is in the scène.
Ya he would’ve been good here. But he is in the train, so it’s a good companion set
Looks like a great set, should definitely get it! 7:02 ⚡️
If that’s an Olive Green frog then this is the first appearance of it!
Ya I checked right after releasing the video! It is brand new! I wonder though if another set recoloured it for leaves or something.
I been trying to get into Lego Harry Potter but my Walmart barley has any
Lee Jordan is in the same year as Fred and George (the short legs were an annoying mistake on legos part) but I agree that they shouldn’t share a face

Do you think the smaller doorways in these sets indicate they are scaled to look larger when in a detailed full display?
This looks amazing fun set love the minifigs great review
Glad you like it!
Looks pretty cool, will pick it up if I can get it at a discount 👊🏻 thanks for the review!
Thanks for reviewing the march sets! I have been enjoying your videos a lot!

It's a toad. Not a frog(Neville's pet)
Cool set review
Thanks!
Maybe they made it small so it's more in scale with the rest of Hogwarts.
Like perspective wise?

why do the boats have oars, dont the boats float on their own?

Too small, awkward brown section on top which overhangs beige sides, boats too small, not for me this time
Can you please include the price of the set in GBP?

I only include Canadian prices because I’m Canadian.

That face really doesn't work for Dean Thomas. Same with the colour.
It's a shame they didn't give him a different face design.
