What’s your definition of observable? If I lock target of a bird and decide not to shoot the picture in the last fraction of a second, is my suppression of action (free won’t) observable? It’s informed back to my self (or maybe it’s retrocausality informed) and therefore I happen to know so its “observable” to me and hopefully observed by me. Is it a behavior under your definition? Is it action? (you didn’t explicitly define action)

As a neuroscientist she can observe your suppressive behavior say, inhibitory cells causing Inhibitory postsynaptic potential, but is this observable behavior which is the same reinformed to self (although your self accompanies it with subjective experience) the same category of behavior she defines?
What does neuroscience say about dreams? is it just a reaction of memorizing new information during sleep or is there something else...? Thank you for this great masterclass that you're promoting!!

Oi Vania, a memoria de procedimentos e' obra dos nucleos da base, que sequencia acoes e alivia o cortex. Eu cubro isso na aula 13. O curso ja' esta' disponivel com legendas!
Many physiological actions (changes in hormone levels for instance) have no overt manifestations, so if you don't know they exist and don't look for them, they are not something you would consider to include in the list of that animal's " behaviors" - until you become aware of it and find a way to observe it. The same applies to thought processes, until you become aware that they are happening (like crow cognition), and start looking into them. At that moment, they've just become one more behavior to investigate!
@@suzanaherculano That all relates to observed vs not observed behaviors. Clearly, you don't consider a hormone response or a though process unobservable. But your working definition uses whether something is *observable*, not observed. I don't see what process could be considered an action, but cannot be observed. Which is why I think your definition does not need the word observable. But perhaps you have something in mind!
