Fingers crossed for this Sunday night, maybe i be tucking into CoC again, maybe i see some usa or british airborne on your table. Your guys do a great job filming and bringing the game to life.
Wow did the guy with the camera do some chincy stuff. After the observer used his strike, he’s off the board and wouldn’t of been able to hold that objective so he would of never gained the other objective because his other infantry squad would of never moved up to gain the other objective. The even bigger issue is with the spotter gone he would of had one less order die for the almost the entire game! Or even if that guy was the mortar spotter he then doesn’t get a die! He fired 1 shot too many every time he fired his mg’s. It made a difference a couple times. Only Germany gets the extra shot with any mg. Once he rolled an extra die because he counted a guy in a squad that wasn’t even in that squad! (The one guy the switches to the guy with the backpack). I don’t think you can template other squads with a hit HE hit. I will have to check on that though. After he lost the assault he never let the German squad reconsolidate after the assault which could of changed things. I’m sure at some point in the game he could of used the German flame thrower against the tank but whatever. But what annoyed me most of all was when he forgot to put HIS dice in the bag and made the guy take back the hit! So it saved his howitzer which ended up taking out the German arti piece that turn! and did major damage to a squad later on. These are just the bigger mistakes I’m listing! There is no way he should of won that one with the French.
Your new French force looks pretty good! Very much tempted to do one myself for CoC. Curious if you would run the same scenario using CoC rules, like you and Andre did awhile ago for a Pacific game?
Cool! I was just looking at the different starter sets. Have you looked at the Battle Honors 25s distribute from here in the U.S.? I bought some of their Germans and Russians..pretty nice figures...definitely different poses from Warlord. Thanks.
Which bases are you referring to? The colored ring bases he uses for ranked mini’s or the round pin markers? Pin markers are from Charlie Foxtrot Models (United Kingdom). The colored ring bases were carried over from a now defunct board game called Conan (think barbarian).
Glad to see you playing BA again. Thanks for sharing.
Good to see a Bolt Action game.... again, lovely figures, board and battle report, thank you for posting.
The French tank is a Suma (Soo-ma)
Sooooo cool ! :)
Thanks for the battle report, but you guys got me into chain of command and well i cannot look at bolt action the same way again......
asowle I know how you feel.

asowle thank you. We do have a british Airborne fight. We will use it for the Von Lick campaign one day. Maybe we will do that one next.
Maybe a "Sowle" could lead a section ?

Interesting game, I must say that the sound is like you recorded during a wind storm

redmist1122 this force is actually built for CoC. So we will be doing some CoC games with it, especial when the new France 1940 book comes out.
What figures did you use for your Frenchies?
redmist1122 these are all warlord models. Get the French build an army it’s a good deal. It’s exactly a CoC platoon with some extra support.

redmist1122 haven’t seen their stuff. This force is pretty much done now though. Aside from an AT gun I would like to add.
Could I ask where you get the coloured base attachments for indicating morale(?) please?
