My experience with Greek life has been incredible. Here are a few myths that at least for my chapter make no sense to me. #1. Hazing- if a fraternity is forcing you to do something that endangers yourself or your emotional integrity, don’t join. Plain and simple. #2. The age old “paying for friends” card that people use doesn’t make any sense. You are paying for an experience that only your fraternity can offer you and the countless volunteering and networking opportunities really helps for after college. #3. All fraternities are rich, no. Just no. I go to a state school and none of my fellow brothers are “rich”. #4. All we do is party. Once again, no. We need to keep a minimum 2.5 GPA which isn’t necessarily high but high enough. Leadership roles requires a 2.8. #5. We’re all douchebags, look if you have a preconceived notion about what you think an entire group of people are then that just exposes your own prejudice. In the case of my chapter, there are 41 of us so I couldn’t imagine you’d have a problem with all of us...if you do you might be the problem.
wtf bro... this guy has completely killed rushing for me. This guy acts like frats put you through a more rigorous application process than an Ivy league school lmao
What if you have to spend your first couple of years in a dorm. How does it work with the houses? Do you still have to pay even if you aren't living in the house?
Is 23-24 too old to join frat? After highschool went on several business ventures. Now I’m Getting my bachelors to join military as an officer. Still a young fun dude
Jack Stern in my frat we have 3 super seniors. One is 27 one is 25 and another 25. You should join. Certain ones will understand. We had a 30 year old man that wanted to re- affiliate and we didn’t let him. You’re good man
@@genesis11am they DO discriminate age. That was my point. Not my choice but it’s also a little weird for a 30 year old to be trying to rejoin, go live your life and don’t focus on a frat. Plus woulda been weird having a 30 year old hanging around a bunch of 18-24 year olds
Probably a dumb question but when you said send in your application in early. How early would you recommend because I will be transferring next fall and would like to rush
+Tyler Bogart Does the school you are attending facilitate the applications through their IFC office? Do a google search on your schools Greek system and see who collects the application. As soon as you have the credentials to submit an application (they may require you to have fully confirmed you are attending) and they have begun accepting applications - submit yours. The earlier, the better. But, don't sacrifice the quality of your application just to get it submitted earlier.
Nobody outside of a frat can tell you exactly what that frat does for hazing. Just assume they ALL do it. Its not a big deal, and you will never get a fraternity man to talk about specifics unless he is a rat.
This guy sounds like a job interview. You need references to contact? Once again you have stereo typed fraternities as elite when there are many diamonds in the rough who rush that have strong character, authentic and as Greeks are our past, present, future. Lou Holtz said it best. 7 colors in a rainbow. Michael Angelo used those seven colors to paint. 7 is not just a number or sexual orientation it's strength in diversity. There is no secrete to rush. Be yourself, be inclusive, be authentic. Be your own character. No goals no growth equals no healthy relationship in life. Rush is not a McDonalds style application form or online video. You should just go work for a corporate HR recruiting agency instead of making money from you you tube posts from fellow Greeks.
Please tighten your tie
also, please lose some weight.
agreed

Where do I get an application at the school website or at the booth? I want to join Sigma NU and am not sure where to look.
The tie situation just keeps getting more amusing as the video goes on. Also, no undershirt.

There are no tips to join a bad fraternity. Either you follow the rules or you don't, most don't.
Can you make a video about hazing?
What exactly do you want covered?
FratRush101 Typical hazing rituals and why hazing happens. Thanks

Does it help if im athletic or not?
It usually doesn’t matter just be yourself find the house that you feel comfortable with
Nobody joins a frat just to “get good grades”. Fuck the gpa bullshit. 9/10 guys in every frat wants to party
Dad, can I borrow a sport coat to make a video???
My account I got logged out of when I was in 4th grade 🥶🥶🥶
Will it be alright if my profile pic is me, but with dexter season 8 poster theme.
