God Bless Stryper, and other bands, preachers, and everyday average Joe's who find a way to honestly share the love of God in their lives. People can bash and trash all they want, but the Truth... the One that the world wants to dilute... It will shine on. YOU CANNOT DILUTE GOD. you or i can no more say the Truth is a lie anymore than we good go outside and tell the sun at noonday to turn off its light. ONLY GOD has that power, and that very God loves us while we try to deny Him...

@rexhickey i have found that "old, sad, bleary" music at church is that way because the person participating in it either hasn't read the songs to understand the songs or doesn't believe in the message the songs were written to convey. i agree that stryper is a great band. i haev listened to them for years and still do! :) but just because a song comes out of a hymnal doesn't make it old sad and bleary. god bless. glad to have you as brother in christ.

Rock'n Roll is the free spirit music, so why should we criticize Christian Heavy Metal? If you feel you are full of anger and rage you show it through your music, but in the same way if your heart is full of Christianity Why don't show it too? Stryper is a fantastic band, great singer, great drummer, and guitars, pure heavy metal. Thats all we need and, yes beautyful lyrics, full of love in a world full of hate, and my friends, that is great!! - Jesus is my Lord God bless you all!!!

People have the right to believe what ever they want and listen to whatever they want, no one is forcing anything, if you don't believe in it don't, you don' t have to listen to it. It's your choice, that's why it's called free will...

Truly a magnificent song Jesus God in the flesh lived the life we couldnt, called us his friends, died on the cross, shed his blood 2 pay the price 4 our sins...in da hope that we choose wisely by giving our life 2 him who loved us...luv diz song!

  • @Back2theCountry

This is one of my favorites by the dudes in yellow and black. It gives you the gospel - Jesus was more than a man - God in the flesh and gave himself up to die on the cross for our sins. Any one who asks will receive..Jesus in their heart....Plus it totally rocks. I remember back in the day I had a T-shirt that said...Jesus Christ rocks! Its not just religion its a relationship with the living God through Christ!

I'm not sure where Stryper is now but what they did took courage, because they must have known many would hate them because of the message. Anger in metal seems to be more in vogue these days. Too much anger.

  • @queila48

Well, I think it's hard to explain it. But there's only one God:
John 1: " In {the} beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD."
Jonh 14a: "And the WORD BECAME FLESH, and dwelt among us"
Then the WORD is JESUS and JESUS is GOD!
The Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost is just one GOD.

@TheSlipknotdude69 Hi Skdude. God isn't at all picky about who fights for Him.The only power any of His warriors have is when we allow the Holy Spirit to fight through us. The Lord Jesus Christ defeated satan at the resurrection and we are fighting the last stages of a ferocious war of which the outcome has already been decisively determined.
It's amazing to see the spiritual power behind metal music, isn't it?

  • @somethingisverywrong
    @somethingisverywrong 15 років тому

It's an interesting conundrum...I mean, I get the idea. Metalheads, who are by definition lost to Satan and such, discover Stryper and are saved. However, I worry about the other way around. Christians, discover Stryper, then discover the rest of heavy metal, and they're stuck in the aforementioned Satan-lost situation. It'd be ironic if it tuns out that Stryper "lost" more people than it saved.
Ah well. So glad I'm Jewish.

I know that some religions sells "keys to heaven" literally, how could I know that you weren't talk about this? And what do you know about servility to God? "No longer do I give you the name of servants; because a servant is without knowledge of what his master is doing: I give you the name of friends, because I have given you knowledge of all the things which my Father has said to me." No I think he's commenting that it is kinda corny. As an original fan who bought their first cassette as a teen in the 80's and who puts them on his MP3 player over 20 years later, I certainly am a big fan. But this is a corny song, probably put together as a filler for the album. The chords are awesome, wish there was a karaoke version out there.

dear shaliakhYeshai- That is the only way HE could be God in a Human Body, then to LIVE a Sinless life - not one sin he did. He kept looking to God as a Father to show us that he was humble. Not puffed up with pride. He had to follow the prophesies that HE wrote. Once dead- HE went to HELL- YES JEWS there is a Hell, and HE-God Went there in Human man's place
