Glenn Patterson, the novelist, interviews the poet Eddie Linden, who recites some of his poems. Eddie talks about his troubled childhood, how he first became interested in poetry, the launch of Aquarius magazine and the stabilising effect it has had on his life.
Eddie recently launched a special edition of Aquarius magazine, put together by Constance Short and Tony Carroll for Eddie's 70th birthday. It features contributions from a host of English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh and American poets, and contains photographs and paintings, essays about Eddie Linden, and his poetry, including his well-known "City of Razors".

If Glenn is a legend, then so is Eddie :
he is an Institution in London. Thanks
    to his tireless enthusiasm, countless
writers are recorded who may have been
consigned to history. Here's to you, Eddie

Many thanks for uploading this. Eddie is a close friend of mine and it was great that he was captured on camera being interviewed. Was this shown on TV on Northern Ireland?

This is how I met Eddie. He gingerly entered The Plough in Coptic st. and said with a much stronger accent: Hi, my name is Eddie. I'm a poet and a homosexual and a Scot. I hope you don't mind.
Which was to his mind the most likely to be offensive is a matter for debate. The homonymous biography Who Is Eddie Linden written by the son pf a friend unfortunately escaped my searches

Sebastian Barker, son of the poet, of course, wrote the book
