Thinking of doing this one myself while following your video. If I end up going to a shop then how much time do you think it would take a BMW indy shop mechanic with all the tools and lift?
@@Amsfxyz not surprised it’s not an easy install so $500+ is worth it to make sure it’s done right. Just because it takes two hours doesn’t mean they will charge you two hours most shops do that

Water meth is good but this is a must in my opinion to make sure your direct injection always has proper pressure, fuel pressure drop can burn up cylinders. Most tunes recommend HPFP

Joey Kennedy yes unfortunately I learned this the hard way. I made a video a few back that explains some parts needed for bigger turbos, fuel starvation is probably the main culprit in most issues with larger turbos

I knew the hpfp is a weak link on the n55, but I was hoping meth injection would cover that. Guess it's saver to get that out of the way once and for all tho. After all I want the engine to be as reliable as possible. Did you switch to cooler spark plugs?
what year is this car? I bought a DS2 HPFP last week (waiting to arrive) for my bow 640i 2013. I saw some guy in UA-cam claiming that if your car has a horizontal stock HPFP, then the DS2 won't fit. Is this true?
@@BOO5Tchannel I have a question bro I’m running stage 2 Bm3 with just stage 1 hpfp . Fbo and stock turbo right now and I’m Getting some stutters when I’m going about 60-70 mph and step on the peddle hard to get some boost it stutters bad any idea what it could be ?
Honestly I am not sure if limits but will find out soon lol. I don’t really think at 600-650 the trans will be too beat up and I drive it 1-2 times a week. With more and more launches when I do track it we will find out. I do have plans for a zip kit and clutches upgrade
Dude, you should really cover up the intake channels of the engine before you start wrenching on it... if something falls in there, you and your buddy are going to have a really bad day ;)
My friend is currently selling his car and asked if I wanted to have his stage 1 pump I have a 2015 335i and he has a 2015 235i m sport do you think his wiring harness would still work on mine due to the vin number situation? Thank you

Absolutely bro! This is why I left this platform the N55 B58 and all of the above bmw products from the past 10 years is a tuning nightmare and sensor overload. I’m on a 2JZ now and should be much more later back of a tuner build

Do you not need to rotate the engine to bottom dead center? BMW states that in it's documentation for replacing the HPFP.

No lift needed for hpfp. Mechanics can take 1-2 hours if they are familiar with it I would say

@@kickedbacktatt are you trying to run ethanol mix? Is your lpfp upgraded? Custom tune would be ideal they can locate the problem with logs

Not 100% sure but should… I wouldn’t even install a stage 1 i would go straight to 2 if you can
