    I have to put my lines for example on layer 0 then gotta make it block, then move my block into my desired layer. so it can be seen on layout right?
    when i put block with lines, inside the layer ( grass for example ) then i go inside my block moving again all my lines into Grass layer, it didnt showed on the layout

      Sorry for the late reply here. I've been out. I'm unsure what you're attempting to do, but you shouldn't have to go inside you're block and move the lines to the Grass layer. Draw the lines on layer 0, make those lines a block, place the block on the Grass layer, they colors, on, off, freeze, thaw, from there. If the block should move to another layer the color of the lines will absorb the layer's color.

    Idea for a vid is great, but I still can't get it.
    I have my block on layer1, moved it to layer2, but if I freeze layer1 (block IS on layer2) it disappear!! Why?

      It's all in how the block was created. You said you have a block on layer one, but if you go into the block editor you'll see the layer that the lines reside. My guess is that the lines within the block are on layer 1.

    When can we use New layer VP & New layer?
    What the difference between them

    • @j-porter
      @j-porter  5 місяців тому

      There is no "new layer vp". However there is a "new vp freeze" and "new layer". I'm assuming you're talking about those???? The "new layer" creates a new layer. The "new vp freeze" creates a new layer that will be frozen in any new viewports automatically. You can thaw if needed later. Hope this helps.

    Sir i followed your instructions but in end when i use insert command it wont work i get a error and my file get closed and restart

      Sounds like a corrupt file or software. Did you try it in a new drawing? Are you using the newer software? If so, try the DDINSERT command instead to bring up the old INSERT dialog box. The new one must process a lot, and the more blocks you have in a drawing, then the more it has to process. If none of these work, then try running a repair your software.

      @@Mr.kingpatel What is a "crack" version of AutoCAD? Did you try creating this in a new drawing? If it works in a new, blank drawing, then the other drawing may be corrupt.
      As far as plugins go. . . there are hundreds of plugins out there. Some legit, some not. Just make sure you do some research and verify the company who provides the plugin is legit.

    Do you run lisp routines?

      Robert, sorry for the late reply here. I've been out of the loop.
      For this video I ran no lisp routines. Are you asking if I know how to create lisp routines. The short answer is "somewhat". I've taken many lisp routines and re-engineered them. I've never started one from scratch. I've never had the need though. If your looking for a lisp routine tutorial I highly recommend hitting the AutoCAD forums first and see the resources others are using. I know there are a few good books on Amazon if you search for "AutoCAD Lisp".
