Passengers demand bullet train as India welcomes 1st 20-coach Vande Bharat Express train flagged off

- In a major landmark event for Indian Railways, PM Modi on Sept 16 flagged off India’s first 20-coach Vande Bharat Express train. In its inaugural run, the train ran from Varanasi to Prayagraj with school students, train staff, general passengers on the train. Impressed by amenities of Vande Bharat train Passengers hailed PM Modi for ‘gift’ to the Varanasi and general public. Meanwhile, some of the Passengers and a Loco pilot said ‘they expect Bullet Train next on the route which would be inaugurated under PM Modi’s regime’.

Bullet Train जरूरी है कियुकी Aeroplane बनाने वाले सिर्फ दो कम्पनी हे दुनिया मे वो पूरे विश्व के Aeroplane demand पूरे नही कर सकता है। भारत मे अगर Bullet train manufacturing होता है तो cost कम हो जायेंगे

But will the same passengers pay tge ticket prices for such high speed " bullet" trains ???? I have taken high speed trains in Europe and China and they are not cheap even by EU and Chinese pay grades. Indians want all the good things of life but don't want to pay for them or earn. They will then foolishly vote for " freebies" not 6ndwrstanding that nothing is really free !!!
they will be alternative to flights...to catch a flight you have to arrive at an airport at least 1.5 - 2 hr before...also there is a delay in deboarding...
yes I will take the train. current VB prices r 1500 for vns to NDLS, if they reduce the time from 8 hours to 3/4 hours i will pay 2500-3000. Current Airplane tickets on this route start from 3k but mostly we need to spend 4500 to 5k. Also hassle or reaching 2 hours before flight and paying 1000 for cab from home to airport then 1000/500 for vns airport to home. Its a costly affair.
Bullet train will be success.
If govt feels prices r too high they shd built at-least 280 KMPH track and 250 KMPH running train. Atleast the East UP need this speed and there r enuf ppl who will buy all tickets for that kind of trains.
Develop 3rd & 4th railway track exclusively reserve for 220 kmph speed train . Existing Double railway track is inadequate. Tripling and Quadruple railway track is need of hour.

Average speed of Vande bharat express is less than average speed of rajdhani express which was around 80km/hr which was achieved in 1969. Almost 60 years speed has barely budged up. Also Vande bharat express is replacing mostly express trains thus making train travel less affordable. Vande bharat train as a set is good. it can achieve 200km/hr but our tracks are so bad, the average speed can never increase. we need more track length. Currently we are stuck at 66000km. when british left india, we had 50000km. China add 5000km/year. Vande bharat train has now turned into marketing gimmick to extract more passenger fee with any real benefits.

It's irrelevant as bullet trains run on dedicated tracks. It's an entirely different system and there's nothing wrong in having different systems simultaneously.
India needs modern trains and bullet trains as well as the current network which is gigantic and congested. Works on it like doubling, dedicated freight corridors, etc can happen only gradually as the network is massive. India run around 13000 passenger trains and 8000 freight trains from around 7500 stations every day. So it's more efficient to simultaneously build new systems for the growing middle class and while improving the older systems as well
India is already the world's third largest aviation market and it's expected to grow up to 15 - 30% per annum for the next 30 years.
That means huge amounts of imported fuel, imported aircrafts and added pollution. Also, the pollution caused by people travelling back and forth from cities to the airports which are located outside the major cities.
Bullet trains solve a lot of these problems as it can reach the centre of cities, can run on locally produced renewable energy and attract huge session of 'upper middle class' who is increasing rapidly in India, who otherwise will choose airtravel, thereby reducing pollution and reliance on imported fuel.
It's also a reliable, clean transportation for the future generations
