    The history of Christmas crackers:
In the 1800's a confectioner was travelling through Europe and observed candied almonds being gifted, wrapped in tissue paper with a ribbon at each end, most commonly gifted by men to women.
So he began to add a love note to it, and later a pull snap to give the 'pop' which he included because it reminded him of the crackling of an open fire.
Nowadays, the love note has become the terrible jokes we all know and groan at.

I love how you managed to use the poppers as a work around for the strips. Definitely using these for our next party! Thank you, again, for the awesome project!

What? No tissue hat? No joke? Those are the things that make the Christmas crackers! I love yours though. It's too late for this Christmas, but I will definitely have them for next. They look so magical!

Now I get it! I didn't understand this part of the book because when I read "cracker", a cookie came to my mind, and it didn't make sense at all 🤣🤣🤣
I'm from Mexico and we don't have these traditions, but I really liked it and definitely will try to make some of this for Christmas.
    Thanks for sharing!

Love how you gave a Harry Potter twist to this! Such a neat idea. I'm not in the UK so this is new to me and it sounds really fun! Harry Potter themed things are always fun too. I would have wanted to hear the loud pop because with it muted, it didn't have the same effect ☺️

Im in the US (Texas specifically) & we buy Christmas Crackers every year & this years were kinda fun, they were kitchen themed so prizes were small kitchen utensils. I always try to buy ones w/ useful things, no toys etc. Next year I think I’m gonna go for environmentally friendly also, so maybe Nancy & Betty Studio.

Hey bro you do a very great job at doing all the Harry Potter diy's

How cool! I had seen these before, but I just assumed they were regular firecrackers, like the ones you lit the wick and fly up in the sky to explode. These look like fun!! We don't use them in Spain (I have never seen them here), so it is great to learn a Christmas tradition from other places.

Keep up the great work =0)

Try using OBECHE wood in your cricut Air 2 it is lighter & easier to cut. You DO need deep cut blades & make it cut 16-20 times though.

    • @wizardryworkshop
      @wizardryworkshop  6 років тому

I have the deep point blade. What should the pressure setting be?

    • @dawnmason9558

I would set it on custom.. crafting wood & the thickness of the wood

Nope. Didn't hear the pop. But I think the audio cut out. It was probably becuase his mic he's using has a set sensitivity level that it didn't pick up.
