@@AfricaFiveSide My friend Kennedy mnweene Zambia goalkeeper believes Nigeria will qualify easily for the world cup do u think it will just easy chelle to get Nigeria going
I'll be honest I didn't like the attitude in the last minuets. We can't play like that not at Home at least we're better than that. But I think we are a victim of our success at times our standard has been too high that when we're not convincing it's alarm bells for you all.
One thing about Mofokeng is that defenders panic when he is around because he is unpredictable. You just don't know what he is thinking when he gets the ball. The two defenders panicked and committed mistakes.
Another excellent analysis, the game was a very important for Pirates to win because psychologically because it now made a statement that we're force to be reckoned with if we can beat Al Ahly in their own backyard. We had to prove it again after beating Chabab Belouizdad at home. We answered all the questions of Doubting Thomas's. The next round can't come early enough.
Am losing respect for North African teams after watching them several times includingMS Alger vs Yanga. The players fake injuries, waste time unnecessarily, argue and intimidate referees, use lasers, complain when losing. They're a big turn off. They dont seem to enjoy the beautiful game, always angry. In 🇿🇦 we enjoy the game, win or losing. Thats why you find Chiefs and Pirates fans sitting together at stadium during a derby game.
Years ago, my friends and I prayed soccer against a group of Egyptian guys. We were surprised by how these guys get angry and kick opponents. Generally, north Africans have little technical abilities and rely on basics and intimidating an opponent. They not like us.
The only big problem with CAF champions league especially North African is time wasting and yelling at the official. The referring is also poor sometimes you wonder why no cards are not being given.

Itumeleng Khune and Dr Khumalo 😂😂 i can't believe they were given the opportunity to analyse a rival's CAFCL game. When there are OPFC legends available to do that job
Analysis is done by professionals and according to an understanding of ones football. Nothing wrong from SABC on deciding on those 2 unless if you feel they were biased.
You're right about Pirates aerial weaknesses because even the disallowed goal was high up in the air. However, you can see that the team is aware of those weaknesses and putting effort in those kinds of drills.
Maher, the Ahly disallowed goal was warranted because if you look at the linesman - he lifts his flag moment the ball is flown into the box the first time, before the next phase that played the "scorer" onside, starts. Please recheck it
Great show for African football, the north African teams they play very well except for this tactics of diving and falling every seconds. I think they play more like the English teams. Most anticipated analyses. I though pirates was going give a lot of other players a chance, up the bucks. Al Alhi is dangerous, if we meet again that game will have higher intensity. Looking forward to PSL, World cup qualifiers, club world cup and afcon this year.
People think I am negative or I have a problem with Maher analysis all along I was impressed with his analysis of the games but today he was just biased on his analysis on the match Al Ahly vs Orlando Pirates I was just surprised how he changed his tune all of a sudden if you are an honest football analyst you analyse what you see you don't make excuses for the teams
I think Al ahly were very good tactically efficient, great movement, just the finishing and pirates defended very well, except for the goal, Mako left too early, he should have remained disciplined, but it was a great match to watch
I was only surprised how the Al ahly striker was diving I counted 5 to 6 diving attempt to get a penalty. I guy should have received two yellow cards for diving every chance he got.
I am a Pirates fam, great analysis as always, but north African teams are notoriously known for faking penalty fouls. Al ahly players did that 4 times in a row after Pirates 2nd goal. And worse referee didn't book them for faking fouls.
As an ahly fan. I'm disappointed with two things. 1. Half of the team is gone, multiple players are leaving and we have only 1 available winger. Only Two available center backs, Yasser btw has been very bad this season. Yet no signings have been made, even with Koller, the fans etc begging for it. 2. Is Koller subbing off Marwan Attia too early. I know Marwan is playing through an injury. But I'm more than sure if he still played, Orlando wouldn't have scored the second.
We do have strong defenders who can deal with those crosses , i can see you are still not convinced by this pirates team . If you want to win against pirates you should do what Al ahly was doing the first half, you close at the back and take your time and build an attack. But if you get carried way and start attacking carelessly you Will get punished
With Sundowns, was it a mental issue? I think they were nervous from the beginning, even the commentator picked it up. But then they calmed themselves as the game continued. Towards the end before they conceeded the goal, they were making mistakes. I think this affected them negatively. In the last 5 minutes they just passed the ball amongst themselves at the back. My guess is that they were really afraid of losing the match. Obviously they tried not to show it. And also I suspect that the coach has not given them confidence as yet. I think if the coach is any good he will work on the mental aspect. The funny thing is that when they were playing in Morocco against Raja a man down it didn't slow down their determination, they were going forward looking for that goal. But I think here the stakes were very high. Maybe they are too used to exiting the group stages comfortably. So maybe this was new territory for them. They will try to boost their confidence with wins in the domestic league I think.
And another thing you can't tell me that is not a great pass from mbhatha remember football is a game of mistakes you just have to appreciate the thought behind it the fact that the defenders from al Ahly failed to deal with that ball it's not Orlando Pirates problem
The likes of emam Ashour was on form coming to this match but look at how he performed against Orlando Pirates he was nowhere to be seen zero earial duels won 4 dribble attempts could not even complete one 21 times lost ball position
