Many times people have asked me about therodos, but finally pendragon got me to deep dive the nation and really figure out how i would play them. So special thanks to Pendragon for sponsoring this video!

I live for your national overviews. Dominions is such an intimidating game to get into, and your national overviews have given me some kind of idea of what I'm getting into with these nations. I'm still muddling about in single-player, but I hope to eventually dive into multiplayer.
Give it a shot! I just started recently the player base is really friendly!

Honestly my favorite part of this channel is when you're playing Pop kill nations. Lucid's Pop Kill Fiesta. You're under not only pressure from your enemies but also from your own nation to either act or die. And you get a giant diplo malus that helps to keep people from working with you instead of trying to eliminate you.

For the Telkhines and Foul Vapour being not-great at that point in the game, it is worth noting that they cast it at start of battle instead of the usual 200% casting speed, so it will hit enemies before Serpent's Blessing goes up - especially if the blessing is reliant on a communion or booster spell. Vs old human dude mages that is very relevant, as it can fuck up a communion before some of the big spells go off.

At around 11 you talk about only wanting to build palisades, but if you have high dominion the upgrade ensures that a lot more population is kept safe from the dominion purging it.
yeah that's a consideration, id tend to put up more forts to have more troops and research for the first and second war, but you could try to quickly upgrade them if you wanted, it's a slower play style though
Only default A6 I can think of is that bullcrap indy province that has it + 2 smaller air mages hidden on map and uses gems to repeatedly cast phantasmal army. Crazy that some random dude has more air capability than the queens of that element. Probably the mortal incarnate of the god of "F expansion". A lesser god perhaps, but a god all the same. I like far caster, it helps nature significantly in addition to elemental stuff and extends buff range a bit. Pen is worth considering too, tough choice on it.

Haven’t watched yet but theredos is my most played and favorite ea nation by far so in very curious if your opinions line up with my own
Ok so after watching through it i broadly agree with a lot of what you’ve said, the key with theredos that I wish you had time to mention is their extreme focus on tempo and momentum. As well as the extreme difference in build and styles depending on if your solo uw or not. Theredos does struggle in uw wars with the good uw nations cause it has no easy way to spam w eles compared to say Atlantis and as such wants an awake or dormant to fight that war. Where realistically with being solo uw it’s often worth taking something more bless based or meant for surprise killing armies.
There’s a lot more that ofc could be said but that’s cause imo theredos is a nation with a high skill floor and ceiling

It's Mr for half damage on spectral weapons I think, not MR negates.
Yeah dats right. I suppose with weapons of sharpness on them that might still do some damage late game.
Now I just need to see you play a theredos.

EDIT: doesn't the fort level affect how much pop you save?
EDIT2: also, don't your Death Scales affect your freespawn rate?

Lets see:
- Not expecting to play therodos terribly soon
- Forts i think do effect how much pop is saved if you put it up before the pop is gone (not that much of a reason to rush out forts imo)
- Death scales do effect freespawn rate - so high dom high death gives best spawn rates. (Each death scale basically acts like an additional candle iirc)
