Good Friday evening Jeff. What a great scrap day and copper day. He had to be saving up that copper for a while ?? You kept pretty busy and with Earl there hopefully the non ferrous pile will get caught up. Enjoy your night and see you tomorrow 😀 😊😊😊😊😊
I think they will load a load out of the pile to catch up. Yea 600 lbs worth and plus he took the horse pit with him. We will see what happens. It was a good day besides being hot 🔥 thanks for watching 👀
Hi jeff, thanks again for a great video full of scrap yard life, was certainly a long and entertaining one and i'm sure you can come up with a fair and reasonable price for your steampunk masterpieces , i can't wait to see them, if your going to record it that is, all the best Anthony.
I will and I don't know. $30 a piece. Maybe be $50. Yea I recorded alot. We had a great storm tonight with sirens and a tornado warning ⚠️ have a great night and thanks for watching 👀 Jeff
Hi Jeff. Be back after I watch. Oh my gosh, so much shiny copper. The best cutting and packing job I've seen. Great payday for him. Good for him. Hahah, it's alive, it's alive!! God bless and stay safe in the heat, drink lots of water. 🙏💖 Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak. Respect people who wear glasses…they pay more to see you. Tonight we are having Himalayan rabbit stew. We found himalayan on the road.
hi Jeff , it was nice again , funny was the last about that "giant "machine , i build some cabine`s for that company ( Tobroco ) here in Netherland , keep on going your great job :)
Jeff. I don't think it would be easier to put the containers on the tray. and then empty it into a large container. and weigh the empty bins again. For example, I have 5 boxes full of copper and it weighs 250 kilos. and then I empty them into the large container and put the empty containers back on the scale, then you have 5 kilos, then you have 245 kilos of copper.
What about charging your hourly rate at work as a basis for the artwork hourly rate. You could work out the cost of materials (even if you get them free), cost of equipment (divide the price of equipment by 730, gives you a daily rate), cost of power (electricity, gas etc) and add a percentage for labour.
I try to mirco scrap a lot of brass but sometimes unless you got a heavy equipment like that you're yours it takes too long for me and I'm All About Time and productivity will it take me more than 5 minutes I just move on and throw in a dirty bin
Good day Jeff tell every guy coming into your area that I'm going to start charging them when you touch there products and have to separate to sell haha or they better learn what they are selling cause like them it's only tin at 7¢ a pound
moltin my metal today.. hot hot to the touch i didnt think al and adrianna had much .. wow they surprised me with all the other material. was in the truck i guess great video.. make sure to wear gloves....protect your hands and drink agua fria /!!! agua fria kinda dia .. hey there is the title to your next video .. lol
This might help working out art work rate. In the UK an electric piece of equipment is guaranteed for 2 years. Materials Charge for materials even if you get them free Consumables There will be some things that you can't work out what they cost. An example of this might be rod feed (unsure if using correct term) from a welder. You could charge what it costs for a for a brand new feed, If using welding rods then charge per rod and put that under equipment. Add a percentage at the end or charge so many dollars to each hour for unworkable hourly rate items Calculation Equipment (Total - number of hours x rate) Electricity - (Total - number of hours x rate) Materials - Total costs Consumables - either a percentage or so many dollars per hour. Labour You could use the minimum or living in your state as an hourly rate. People might expect bo other charges to be applied as they would expect the company to absorb these costs. It depends on how many hours it takes to do each trophy. You could charge minimum wage per hour and then add equipment, electricity, materials and consumables. You will probably find most artists work for less than the minimum wage per hour and accept this as they see it as a vocation. You could use a profit margin as a labour charge, just add a percentage. I don't know if this helps, just thinking out loud
That helps. I usually charge about $40 a hour for the firepits. The trophies is mostly welding. There might be a little fabrication. Thankyou for your comment
