The GPS grade control system surveys the intended path and then calculates the grade (or depth) for the tile line. That is explained in the first segment. The second segment shows the installation of the tile line with the GPS system controlling the grade.
The green bar on the GPS grade control screen during tile installation shows "green only" when the plow is "on grade". If manual adjustments are desired, that is explained.
The young farmer driving my JD 9530 tractor and my tile plow had "no" previous experience operating a tile plow before installing the tile lines shown in the video. That shows how quickly a person who is familiar with GPS auto-steering equipment can learn how to use it for grade control.
The complicated aspects of installing drainage tile involve planning new drainage systems "using the best designs for each farm", learning about a person's own existing drainage systems, learning how to find existing tiles, making hookups to outlets, and etc. In other words, the setup process requires the most expertise.
