Holy crap dude, the amount of emotion that you can extract of this girl. I had to to re watch of if the scenes where you see her get sad to see what you did. You did so many things simultaneously to show that emotion. Amazing work dude.

One thing I'd recommend is that ponies show their emotions through their ears as well as their face. (Pinned back or down when upset, scared, ect.) It doesn't give the whole picture when their ears are perked all the time but their expression says upset.
I personally do not make SFM models anymore because of how long and time consuming the process is. It took me almost 3 hours to do both models. I know there are tutorials on how to make them, but I might do one myself since those tutorials are very hard to follow.
I'm pretty sure I will make a video since a lot of people are interested in making their own OC's. Since the tutorial is a bit lengthy it will probably take me a good month or two to upload.

Focusing on just the facial expressions...the mare was pretty much perfect. As for the stallion--you picked a really hard song to animate with ponies. I'm no animator, but it seems that SFM pony faces are either 100% innocent, or 100% evil, with in-between settings like "world weary" or "sympathetic, but hardened by life" really hard to dial in. I think, maybe, if you made the exposed eye shape more like an olive, and turned the muzzle down and the eyes up (like he's looking over the top of his non-existent glasses at her), that might help. Maybe.
