@@Average_Joe273haha, I'm the same way, know the dodges and punishes off by hard but. Sometimes my brain just freezes up especially in the second stage when she is much more aggressive and those wings sometimes disguise which attack she is performing😢. Solid run though mate!
Absolutely baffles me how players get through this easily. I died like a million times and rage quit! My first souls game tho, I will say this tho the satisfaction you get after beating a boss you're stuck on is compared to none.

if you have a strengh build ordorvis greatsword ash of war stun locks her if you have stonebard tear, you just need to do enough damage to kill her befor it runs out (my det up was 50 strebgh, base faith and dex, godfrey icon) if you ad shard of alexander and dagger talisman you basicaly just spam the ash of war and skip p2
All good, Malenia and especially Mohg took me hours upon hours. First build I utilized Sword of Night and Flame and the O Flame incantation while I threw Double Slash on a +25 Flamberge and the Unendurable Frenzy incantation on NG+ for my second build. Buff stacking also is a big help. First build had Blessing of the Erdtree, Golden Vow incantation, AND Flame Grant Me Strength. Even with all those buffs on deck, I still died hella before I won.
@@KasuroTamakashi yeah fuck mohg, I haven't been able to get his fight down and tbh I don't care to. Bloodflame is literally everywhere and that's all I can do is run away from it
@@Average_Joe273 Honestly even after beating him twice, I don’t have a clear and cut answer for Phase 2 outside of having at least 8 Flasks after the Ritual. Usually when he’s just flinging hella blood, I just back off and wait for it to disappear, then go for an attack once I have an opening. I think it’ll be easier for my currently playthrough though cause I have the Dark Moon Greatsword, game’s been such a breeze since.
@Limbussy it's not because I can't, but in this instance I was still in the attack recovery animation and she was right in my face so it was wrong place, wrong time. It happens sometimes, that what we got vigor for lol
I'm currently trying to beat her in light load and with either Morgot's geeat sword or a blood shamshir. I can now doge waterfowl but only from mid to long distance...never managed to do a 360 around her fast enough, I can't believe people are that quick to react...
It's very hard and takes a lot of practice You could also try using a shield in the left hand, block through the first flurry, roll through the next one and just back away during the last one Also Morgott Sword weapon art shreds her!
@@Average_Joe273 Yup, finally got her with Morgot's GS. I was getting through phase one consistently but phase 2 was brutal. The weapon art combined with flame grant me strength was really good. I originally planned to beat her with daggers but...gave up. Still I was wearing Millicent's dress and light rolling
@fredbyoutubing great job! Practice makes perfect, and with her it's hours and hours of practice! Also, once you learn how to punish her phase 1, pay attention to phase 2 you'll realize it's basically the same I remember I used to HATE phase 2 and now it doesn't both me
@@Average_Joe273 Really? To me, she seemed twice as aggressive and left very few openings in comparison. The ghost attack was also a problem when started from up close. Now I almost feel empty lol, she was my main goal for that run
@fredbyoutubing watch a video on how to dodge the clone attack, once you learn it it is very consistent! Basically, roll back from the first two clones, roll forward for the third, take a couple steps for the fourth, then roll forward for the last 2 clones and malenias stab (back, back, forward, step, forward, forward, forward) It will make sense if you watch someone else do it
@soulreaperx7x you gotta stay on her ass constantly, the more in her face the less frequently she uses it. And tbf, she's very weak to bleed and has low poise this build takes advantage of both so she didn't live very long
@AverageJoeVR I swap between poleblade + peeler and just poleblade. If they're fire resistant a throw on the duel wield for max bleed. Otherwise stick to the poleblade
@bogroenewold2508 yeah, use the seal next to the lift that takes you into Raya Lucaria to quick travel across the bridge and there's about 4 or 5 cuckoo knights you can farm for the armor

This boss is so hard. After summoning at least 100 total summons no one could beat her until i found the perfect 2 summons. Especially the waterfowl dance lol
Scratch that. I commented before watching. This was lazy and unresponsive. If you can't even be bothered against Malenia, one of the few good bosses, then don't play.

This poleblade and godskin peeler with a bleed infused is broken. I’d post it to, but no point. Everyone can do it. It’s pretty easy
I'm not gonna lie, I just preferred one or the other it's more stamina efficient. I think for dual wielding, I'd prefer twi curved swords
