I hope it lives up to its potential in that regard. Especially because after the Vecna/Henry/001 reveal, I rewatch Stranger Things and ask what happenings were from his manipulation, like how the gate kept failing in Russia, Vecna didn't want to emerge there, that had too many flyer miles for his plan 🤣

As children in the 80's, we never dreamed that anything like this would actually be possible in the future!
Not to give you a wake up call (and risk getting an OK boomer reply), but as a teen in the 80s I was already using VR, and in the 90s it became my job, I blame Zuckerberg for brainwashing people into thinking that VR is a new thing.
Yes we did. The vision of the future back in the 80s was so much cooler than what we actually have today. Although the future of the 80s had villains on Mars or time travel it was so much more exciting than Joe Biden and Ww3 with no flying cars or even a single moon base.

We saw VR back then - but how it's turned out is so much more than we imagined. That's what I meant.

@@mariorossi9300 nobody said VR was a new thing or even thought it, Meta is just pushing the VR envelope way harder than anyone else currently, especially with cheap headsets and growing consumer VR interest over Facebook.

Finally, a full fledged stranger things vr game. Us in the Hawkins community didn’t expect it to be like this, but congrats to TC and Netflix for going all out
its probably not a huge game but a small adventure
If I can’t actually time travel back to the 80s, I guess this is the next best thing.

To those wondering the “major VR platforms” mentioned in the description almost definitely means quest 2 support
also rift and steamvr platforms? i'd definely buy it on the quest 2 store, but it would be great to sometimes try it with PC graphics if it will support crossbuy.

Was really hoping to explore Hawkins and the upsidedown as a Hawkins resident, not so much play as the bad guy in crappy VR resolution.

@@SilenceWillNotBeTolerated The Duffers always make sure every single item in every set piece is meaningful in some ways, they were signalling the events of S4 back in S1 so....I would not be surprised if there are clues there, we just won't see them until after S5.

Edit: „visually impressive“ doesn’t mean i think it looks realistic. of course it is cartoony but it’s definitely not bad. of course, this is a trailer and maybe they downgrade it to shit so it runs natively but from what i am seeing in THIS trailer, it’s not that bad for a netflix vr game lol
i wouldnt say visually impressive, if this is the form the final game will come out as that would be extremely disappointing

Okay this ain't that bad at all. Pretty interesting twist where you play as the Vecna In the story. Betting on the Stranger Things chapter in Dead By Daylight. But It's a pretty good vr game that you revealed Netflix. And also the developers that did work on it as well.👍

We need a Stranger Things video game with a story mode, nice graphics and an open world!!
A game where you’re able to free roam the town of Hawkins and complete missions/tasks, being able to switch through different characters for certain missions
It would be a great co-op game as well, to play with friends online. Each character with their own unique abilities, obviously Eleven’s abilities would be better than the rest of the group 😂 but there’s ways to make other characters fun
I can imagine the soundtrack would be amazing as well

Im impressed I just wished that you could play a bigger story like as the kids. I think it would be cool if there was different short stories and each of them your a different one of the kids. And like for parts where the kids are all together, you can pick which kid you want to be between will, max, eleven, Mike, Lucas, and Dustin. I think that would be AMAZING 👏 or it can give you a choice to also be vecna that would be AMAZING once again. And I'm not saying that this only vecna game is bad

This is all cool and all but i don't think i'm even gonna pay attention to the game after Stranger Things being taken out of DBD, the game is boring to me now (mostly) because i'm trying to earn the credits for new killers cause i just don't feel like spending the money after what happened, you're fine to like what you like, and if you enjoy the game really, good, i'm happy for you, but i'm not even gonna watch reaction videos of it or the story, this is my choice and i just don't feel like it, if Strangers Things hadn't been taken out i would have been hyped but now i just want the series to be over with so i can finish and move on to Friday The 13Th, again i'm not trying to discourage anyone i just don't wanna support it myself.

Well, this'll be something. Artstyle looks nice, but TC's never had problems with that. Their last outing wasn't the best, so here's to hoping they learn from it. Though given the ambitious concept of "play as the tragic backstory but completely amoral villain who's literally tried to murder children"... let's say I'm cautiously optimistic. Heavy emphasis on the "cautiously". Don't screw this up, TC.
