By integrating the camera with AI capabilities, users can now make inquiries and receive visual responses from the AI. This feature enhances the overall user experience and maximizes the potential of AI technology.
Thank you this is the exact type of comparison I was looking for. I was planning on buying new earbuds, but I keep on losing them so both of these were on my radar
Yup. And yes with Audible but they can’t launch audible. So as long as you open and play from your phone first, you can pause & control audible from the glasses
Thanks for the video. Considering to buy smart glasses / AR glasses, but I think the software is not just there yet. . . Nice to have chatgpt and stuff, but the real deal would be when the digital layer is displayed when you wear the glasses! Does anyone know if this exists yet?
On the website, they actually recommend ordering a non prescription frame first to see if it fits well and then ordering your lens prescription after since there's no refund on Rx lens
Great video. I've had the Ray Bans for a few months now and the cameras are all I use them for having disabled the other "smart" functions. Just don't trust Facebook that much.
@@VRwithJasmine Not at all. I like the photo sync function but when the glasses are on and I’m driving, my Apple CarPlay plays the music through the glasses and not the car speakers. I use AirPods for headphones and calls so the auto sync function of these get in the way mostly. BTW, this is Rob from way back. UA-cam changed my name. Don’t know why.
No camera and vdeo as you said. That's a big feature and now Meta support multimodal for AI. (ask Meta what you are looking at and it will get the image from the camera and tell you what it sees).
What a great vid I may purchase these this month using your link. Question: I wonder if I can pair it with my Apple Watch and listen to my music on tidal? Or access different features without my phone nearby? Or without wifi? Just curious, thanks again.
It needs wifi / cellular. I’ve never tried pairing anything to my apple watch directly since I don’t have cellular on it. However, you can control the glasses with your apple watch (changing songs) if the glasses are paired to your phone.
so u telling me i can buy a nokia 3210 and still use it to make calls dont need to buy the newest iphone? cause the comparison is almost the same the rayban meta is a smart glasses with a camera the other is a glasses worth £10 not saying the meta worth its price but the 2 are total different things . . . . why would u get a glasses with a speaker any earbuds sounds better tbh way better and chatgpt? cmon pointless rather buy a proper goodloking glasses from that money and not a plastic toy
@@MatanumiI wouldn't say it's a big miss actually. I think it's better that battery life was prioritized over the camera. I have astigmatism and I can't have the thing I need to see charging so I can use it. What they both lack is a good looking HUD. That would be awesome

Without the cameras these are not nearly comparable.
Sure it is. One has it, the other doesn't. The camera doesn't make the Meta better it just appeals to those who care about a camera

You’re an absolute beauty, Jaz! You know we be missing you lol ❤️
I miss you all, too!! 😭 Been really busy building up Flat2VR Studios- maybe I should make a video about it sometime
@@VRwithJasmine you should actually
But what exactly. I'm not trying to spill secrets lol
@@VRwithJasmine haha damn I guess we'll have to be patient 🥲
So they connect to your phones, that means both can make calls using your phone? Do either of them work with Audible?
Yup. And yes with Audible but they can’t launch audible. So as long as you open and play from your phone first, you can pause & control audible from the glasses
These are pretty cool. Love my RayBan Meta's but for the price and the style i think these are cool

some are working on it. expensive but real!
Do these things have unusable lenses? Or can I get them prescribed to my eyes with bifocals?
For Lucyd, you can get most prescriptions since they have a ton of frames that can accommodate tons of prescriptions.
On the website, they actually recommend ordering a non prescription frame first to see if it fits well and then ordering your lens prescription after since there's no refund on Rx lens
Can you get prescription glasses on the lucid glasses
yes you can
Could you please mention the name of Lucyd glasses u r using?
I think it's the Stratus frame which was briefly shown in the beginning
Nice comparison Jas. Thank you!
Great video. I've had the Ray Bans for a few months now and the cameras are all I use them for having disabled the other "smart" functions. Just don't trust Facebook that much.
Wow, we’re opposites! You don’t use the audio function at all??

Did you notice a difference in the battery life?
Lucyd lasts longer cause it doesn’t have as many features like the RayBan Meta’s cameras that suck more power
No camera and vdeo as you said. That's a big feature and now Meta support multimodal for AI. (ask Meta what you are looking at and it will get the image from the camera and tell you what it sees).
Yea, agree! Back then, multimodal AI wasn't available yet on Ray-Ban Meta

Can I use my Insurance with Lucyd?
You would have to speak with your provider how to go about that, but you should be able to
Nice, I have Metas and agree the camera is the less used feature. Waiting for the AI update🙌🏾
Can this record video
I agree the Lucyd is cute

Thank you
I don't like the cameras in the ray ban, theyre a bit obnoxious and call ppl attention
So theyre just glasses with headphones built in. Not really smart glasses.
They are by definition
Nah, I only will buy smart glasses with camera on it. Else it's of no use. Duh
I mean audio is nice and you can use it in areas that are "photo sensitive"
Otherwise yeah big miss
