Reminds me of my childhood. There is little to no traffic and the Mavis exit is non existent. We took the Erin Mills/Mississauga exit to go home for Streetsville.
Good video thanks for sharing this remember 91 quite well... had a 75 chevelle malibu at the time this is when you get a quarter chicken at Swiss chalet for 3.99 and about 52 cents a litre for regular gas lol good times
I'd completely forgotten that you had to keep right to stay on the 401 at the 403/410 interchange back then! Heading left took you south down the 403, man. Now it's completely the opposite.
1991 back at a time were there were no SJWs / woke people, meaning back when people did not get offended over everything & adults did not need safe spaces to cry !
wow the highway back then seems so peaceful. No trucks, no traffic between Mavis and Erin Mills.
There was no Mavis yet then. Ended at Britannia.

The Mavis exit is at about 4:35, where the 401 starts to go downhill.
The extension of the express lanes of 401 from 410 to Mississauga Road weren't around until 2014.
Amazing how much things have changed over the last twenty plus years.
More like 30 ;-)
Oh, man, wish you'd taken us down Winnie. Would have liked to have seen the old level crossing again. :)
Wish I was alive back then.
I miss the old service centre in Mississauga.
Ronald Tennessee It’s closed cause it’s located in an urban area where no one stops.
It had a Wendy's in it right?
@@njam101 Yup. And a Tim Horton's, Mr. Sub, and a Nicholby's. I read it's being converted into an OPP highway patrol centre.
You mean the Wendy's service center after mississauga road off the 401 with all the windows?
@@pablolow9674 yes sir
Nice video. I remember the highway lights would end at Hwy 10 at night you would drive into darkness if you were going further.
The lighting ended at McLaughlin Rd. actually.
Andrew Luimes I live at Creditview/Britannia, off Willow Way to be exact. Wonder how my area was back then ?
@@bilalahmed2123 The subdivision was under development. You can see the advertising sign for it at 4:45.

Yeah, but everybody was still making south of forty grand, so the prices still sucked
@@AChapstickOrange maybe the average was less than 40 grand in 1991 in Ontario I cleared 85 with some overtime that year

it sounds silly but it's amazing enjoy these videos, it's like if i were in that car in 1991, looking all those old-fashion cars...
This video was made a month before Beauty and the Beast releases in theaters.
Back before the Mavis Exit when Highway 10 was still signed as Highway 10
Still? There is no Highway 10 here to sign anymore.
Amazing how little has changed in the last 28 years..... Except for the cars
Well people had really smelly farts Back then
I remember the Shell Service Centre was the edge of Mississauga back then.
It was replaced by an OPP station last year
Bro this dude is from the future. 1991 car dash cam! !!!!!!!!
😀
This was the year I was born
My parents got married this year.
The population was so much smaller back then.
But where are the trucks? Wasn't old enough to drive in 1991
It was a Sunday. Less trucks on weekends back then.
No Mavis Road exit yet!
Not much changed except cars
Back when GTA ppl knew how to drive
No trucks? Sure, 30 years ago no turbans either 😂
