Hey there, thanks for your nice comment! I would've loved the calling quails much more, had I been able to find them on the lcd-screen! There were people in front of me but not on the side, where the dratted birds streaked by. Too quick for me, maybe if I'd zoomed out, but then everything gets too small and every leaf looks like the other and I need my reading glasses to see what's what and where. "Frustrating" is the best word to cover my filming forays while birding. It's easy enough to focus on putting the camera aside and whip forth the videocam, if it's about birds I've seen before and already have photos of. But, as on this trip, there is exciting lifers around (that is hard enough to SEE, and try to photograph, let alone get on video) I just forget all about the videocam in my vest pocket... As the trip progresses, there is less and less videos of birds, almost only footage of birder's backs walking trails and roads. Scenery. It gets harder and harder to get together a video to present on UA-cam, even with photos included. Soon it's just a glorified slideshow. - Sigh - I've already arrived at that point on this trip. Part 4 will take some time to make and will surely cover a lot of days, with a lot of photos, some painfully shaky footage and some birders walking here and there...
Hummingbirder1 well I enjoyed your video. It’s tough managing multiple cameras and giving yourself time to enjoy the birds. Best approach is to do what you enjoy most and work backwards
