Things I love: 1) bigger CCC! 2) the Euro winfows, especially in the bedroom slide 3) Side opening doors 4) big fold up counter extension 5) big rear closet (I don’t even think we could gill that). Things I wish I could change: 1) Add a rear ladder…otherwise I have to carry one. 2) there doesn’t seem to be much exterior storage. Not even sure I could carry my camp table, grill and 2 camp chairs. 3) I would like to delete the exterior tv, not sure if that’s possible. 4) Hoping if you upgrade the power package you get more than a 1000 watt inverter. Overall, a huge win for putting a king size bed in there…and the warranty is better than the View.
Wholeheartedly agree on deleting the exterior TV. We have one on our current coach and I haven't opened that door since the dealer walk through. Probably never will either.
I do not see the point of the outdoor tv or outdoor speakers. I would rather have the bit of space for storage. And, that inverter needs to be increased to 3000 watts. 1000 watts is not nearly enough. How much weight will the bunk hold? How useable is it with that slide in? Is there queen option on the bed? I think I would have to wait and see actual use performance before considering this class c. And, why no ladder on the back?

As an Asmoke user, I can't express enough how it has revolutionized my outdoor cooking experience. I used to own a Traeger, but after switching to Asmoke, I couldn't be happier. The compact and portable design makes it perfect for my RV trips and camping escapades. The temperature control is precise, ensuring my food is cooked to perfection each time. But what I love the most is the distinct smoky flavor it imparts to the food, thanks to the wood pellets. It's like having a professional smoker in your backyard. The convenience of the digital controller and the versatility of cooking methods truly makes Asmoke a game-changer for me. So, whether I'm in my backyard or on a road trip in my Grand Design Motorhome, my Asmoke grill is my trusted companion. #Asmoke
The RV industry is screwed. I have been shopping and the quality of the build and materials is crap. And the service and manufactures are not standing up and dealing with the issues in a timely way. When you spend hard earned dollars you expect everything to work and hold up to road trips. What I see is sub standard quality and the lack of companies taking care of the issues, You buy it its yours. For now I will not purchase one. All of them are building sub quality products.
Marty, thanks for the reply. I think you will see something very fresh and unique with our Lineage Series M. The quality is like nothing else, the craftsmanship is 5star and we will be taking steps to be a leader in service and warranty coverage. Have a great fourth!
@@janicecrockett1400 do screen defenders work? I see your dog in your picture. I'm looking for our first RV and the dogs are a concern. I have dogs from 4lbs to 80lbs.
It’s sad that this debut has to follow an overwhelming distrust of Grand Design for their past lack of empathy for the many buyers that purchased brand new GD RVs with serious safety issues.
When you do your review can you mention if this has automatic levelers? Also, this has a rack on the top for storage, but how do you get to it because there is no ladder attached?
@@TalonID I didn't miss that. I didn't say I'd buy it. I like the features and how it's designed. You don't need to add negativity just because of the brand and reputation. You could find something nice to say, I'm sure!
@@EarlBalentine You're lucky, I had to get a lawyer evolved and my unit was bought brand new. It was out of commission for months and months and returned with the same flaw. Then, they declined to fix it.
I'm normally not all that interested in the Merc units, being Will's older twin, they've always felt a bit cramped to me... but Grand Design doing something motorized definitely caught my interest... Outside: looks awesome, I normally skip ahead on the walk-arounds unless there is something particularly unique about the unit, but this looks *really* sharp. The bobble-head moment with Will around 11:40 was great, but also around that time Mike pointed out the rack on the roof, however I didn't see a ladder or any real way of utilizing it... Inside: LOVED the darker roof and lighter interior -- the contrast is great! The bathroom looks a little cramped for me personally but usable and expected on this size unit. Overall looks great and usable. I also really liked the AC with the slotted vents, especially if it performs well -- more AC = more better in my book. My Wishlist: An option to replace the cab bunk with storage/cabinets, might even bring in the nose cap a bit with this option. Option to replace the dinette with a free standing table & chairs (I have a somewhat irrational hatred of booth seats ) - I do see on the site that theater seating is a planned option but I'd need to see how it actually looks in the floorplan. The king bed is cool, but a queen with a little extra storage on the side might also not be a terrible option to make it feel a bit more open in the back of the unit. Overall: seriously fantastic, this is the maybe the first time I've seen a Merc chassis and had more than a passing interest in it from a 'whats the latest tech' perspective.
Crazy, the laptop I am using has one logo on it and no company name but one look and you know who it is. btw, I didn’t notice, was there a logo in the toilet bowl under the water?
Perhaps all the logos on this is because it is a prototype, and is going to be filmed alot. Hopefully the actual productions will not have all the advertising of the brand.
Rewatched this again - are they really saying that with the upgraded power package you wouldn't be able to run your a/c? GD spokesman said it's a 1000 watt inverter and a/c needs the generator. We'd like to upgrade to lithium, second alternator, upgrade the inverter, AND be able to run the a/c. Would also like to keep the genny, too. This is allowed in the current Ekko Sprinter.
The Power Package is an LP Generator Delete Option. (Powered by Lithionics Lithium Batteries and Victron Energy Components). This option includes an additional 660 A/Hr (on top of the std 260 A/hr) total of 920 A/hr of Lithium. Secondary Alternator. 12V/3000VA Inverter for 110V house loads w/ 120A 12VDC Charger. 110V/50A MPPT Solar Controller. 600W Solar (std). Communication Hub. More information will be on GD RV Website soon
Love the length. Love the shower drain. Love the sleek design elements. Would prefer a sofa that pulls out to a twin bed instead of a dinette, or no dinette with a totally closed of queen/ king sized bedroom, instead of the King size in the kitchen area. Also hope it has a larger fresh water tank for boondocking in State parks.
Thanks for the feedback Charlotte. Glad you liked what you saw. The theater seating will be standard, with an upgraded booth dinette as optional. The King bed is towards the back of the coach so you shouldn't have any kitchen intrusion. The only kitchen item close to the bed, is the fridge. But who doesn't want a midnight snack:) Have a great fourth!
Love this unit and the square design with black makes it feel futuristic! 👌 ❤ the king bed is a plus!! I also love when you have Will with you so we can get a better idea on the size of everything, great job guys! 👏 👏👏👏🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Love the floorplan and that it is on the larger MB chassis. Wish MB still had the larger diesel. Looks like lots of quality features. Currently have an Airstream Interstate and this looks like the perfect upgrade. One nitpick, giant compass in front glass detracts from the window and smaller names on cabover would be nice. Like the raised names on sides. Explaining construction wasn't boring. It would be nice if more manufacturers had some contruction techniques to be proud of!
Nice floor plan. Removable 5 gallon propane tanks would be great - do a bottle exchange, or fill the bottles without having to drive into an awkward refill location. Can you get the Lineage in white?
Thanks for the feedback EJS! The paint options are either midnight (black) or pearl (white). Within those 2 sets, you must subset in either Sage, Wave, Cabernet or Slate. Happy 4th from all of us at Grand Design!
Matt, I’m watching this video for the second time that’s my city that’s where I was born and raised from 1966 to 1984 and then I went to your neck of the woods Naval Training Center, Orlando, FL and that’s where life began. Nothings changed the sirens. The loud people only thing missing is the ghetto birds, otherwise known as helicopters, thanks for bringing back the memories when I went to Boot Camp. I couldn’t sleep for two weeks because there were no sirens helicopters and other activities on the streets shout out to Orlando Florida salute.
Im prefering the theater seat option. The bedroom needs a curtain to separate it from rest of RV. Looking forward to the Ford AWD option. I hope you lose the cab over bed and do a twin bed in back. A strong new entry well done
Thanks for the feedback Jeff! Yes, we will have 3 chassis launching in Class C-Mercedes 4500, Ford F600 and Ford E 450. We will also have a privacy curtain available between the bed and kitchen area. Have a great day and happy 4th from all of us at Grand Design!
Billy, thank you for your feedback. We strive to listen to our audience. I think you will be impressed when you see in person, the Lineage M Series. Have a great holiday!
I have been looking forward to GD's first class C for a long time. Unfortunately, GD did not update its website today as stated in the video. You have to sign up to get more info on the Lineage. It would be nice to know when viewers can actually look it over without subjecting themselves to sales folks.
Great debut! Were not really looking for this size rig, but man, this thing is SLICK! I hope they add a curtain to the bed area, and hope its available on a diesel chasis.
You could say "Grand Design produces a superior amalgamation of European and American layout and components, to add something fresh and new to motor-homing enthusiasts!" 🤗
Thank you. Beautiful truck. Only I would prefer theater chairs across from the TV. Your rig is beautiful 😍. Impressive Mike. I'll check bk. I wont be ready for a minute. Your rig is definitely a front runner. Thanks again.👋🙂
Thanks for the positive feedback Lin! Theater seating will be standard of the Series M. We hope you can see one soon at a dealer near you! Happy 4th from all of us at Grand Design!
Guys, guys! They’ve updated their warranty for their products. 00:31:50 I like this Grand Design sales guy. Seems earnest. He needs to go work for Brinkley though.
There is no way we’d ever buy another Grand Design. So many issues and dealers backed up with service you end up doing the work yourself. Plumbing and electrical was terrible. Suspension issues, interior falling apart. And what made us sell it, backing into our driveway and the roof separating from the body of the coach. We now have an Arctic Fox and have only had one minor issue that was promptly addressed by the Manufacturer.
Kudos for buying a rig made in Oregon. As you have experienced with your old rig, anything made in Indiana is crap. Stay away from anything made in Indiana. RV management only cares about the bottom line - building quality RVs is not in their vocabulary. Remember, RV executives and line workers all live in that area of Indiana. They move from company to company bringing with them the same crappy workmanship they used in their previous company. Crap is crap and you have virtually no recourse against these RV companies because they donate $$$$$ to politicians not to regulate their crappy ways.
Nice rig. I wonder about the insulation. Would be nice if the bed were convertible to a lounge seating area for day time. Love the windows, the kitchen and the bed size. Woven floor not a good idea for ease of cleaning... good for boats! For that price I will definitely go for a LTV, guaranteed quality and true customer service. Curious to see what the true OCCC will be
I love the features in this Motorhome. The inside is beautifully designed with a real king bed considering how short it is. That window by the dinette is awesome for airflow. I am frustrated by all the negative comments about Grand Design and their 5th wheel frame issues, because this is not the place to voice those criticisms. Comments should be about this motorhome.
Great design! Would like the dinette to be a jack knife sofa with attached tray tables for eating. Can't wait to see the rest of the grand design class c designs.
How's the build quality, did the QC department check each stage of build so showers are sealed, backing tape is removed, blackwater and grey water runs are supported and not hitting moving parts. Do the fixing screw actually screw into the backing frame or only into the interior skin. If the customer does find problems will the factory or dealership fix it free of charge? The US RV industry has such a bad name it rubs off on all manufactures, so get your team in gear and turn out some GOOD PRODUCTS for a change.
Thanks for the feedback TheByard. Stay tuned for a factory tour with Matt, Will and Mike in the next couple weeks as we approach 7/15 production. The motorized facility is state of the art with MANY items that are, first to market. Every step of the way is done with superior craftsman ship and with safety/quality in mind. I think you will like what you see! We are also launching a first to market "special" warranty with our Lineage product line up. Grand Design will be walking with customers every step of the way!
Shower dimensions? It looks neat so far. I think if they can get quality right, they'll blow away the competition. Quality is #1 with all the Tiffin owners I know.
We love Sharkbite. We redid a motorhome and used Sharkbite and it was a great selling feature. Lots to love about this new Sprinter Motorhome. We have the 2018 Winnebago View V. Should we trade?
I'm in love with this coach. I love that it has good amount of solar and a generator. Love the interior storage and design. Full paint job is beautiful but I'd go without for better price. Love the side open slam latch doors outside. I need one
The wardrobe doors & the bathroom door needs mirrors to let more light in the space. I’m not crazy about the color of the cabinets…they need to be lighter and better looking instead of basic rv looking. No backsplash behind the stove? I like the fact it’s made lighter. Don’t like dinettes…theater seats are better. Like the windows. No valances? Why don’t they have a swivel toilet or smaller cabinet? Like the shower but yes move the soap shelf and flush mount the shower system with a slide for the shower head. Queen size bed would be plenty big enough for this rv. Like the storage. No awning? What’s in the cockpit? Bunk over cab could use some nets for safety & catch all cubbies or something like that. Telescoping ladder too. Like the tv with tweaking some of these things.
Thanks for the positive feedback Sandy! Yes, the theater seats will be standard, with dinette option. We hope you can see one in person soon! Hope you have a great 4th!
Richard, thanks for the positive feedback! Pricing will be available soon and not as high as you might think. Happy 4th from all of us at Grand Design!
I always got everything fixed where there was a problem and free parts even after the warranty was expired. I'm happy. Most of the time it's the dealers that screw up and lie about stuff. I always call the warranty people to make sure they are on the same page as the dealer.
Looks great! Big bed in a 25ft Class C. I might just want to trade in my new class C for one of these! Love the European designs, large windows, lots of pantry drawers. Can't wait to see it in person!
This is the sickest RV in its class I have ever seen. I had a few I was considering... But this makes the other look like amateur hour! Good Job guys! WOW!
Absolutely love this Class C! So many great features. You can tell they built it with the rv’er in mind. I’m looking for a Class C but not ready for this one..Yet! Maybe in a few years once they work all the kinks out. Glad to see GD going into the motorhome products😁
I can't wait to see one in person! I hope they give me a good trade in value for my 2019 GD 2800 BH. It has given me zero problems and made me a Grand Design owner for life!
Any new production RV manufacturer should be up to the times offering a full lithium operated system with 3000 watt inverter and solar panel to operate AC and all other appliances, eliminate that generator that takes up space, adds weight and expensive maintenance.
It is as if you think the larger inverter, additional batteries, additional alternator, additional solar panels, larger or additional charge controller, and additional wiring add no weight and take up no space.
Not sure this was the best timing for GD to launch a new product after the last two hard years of media coverage on their other products having quality issues with their frames. I may wait two years and see how these units age in the field before putting down money. Also, I wonder how may GD employees are here making comments?
Hi Todd, thanks for your feedback. You are going to see and feel something new with the Lineage launch. I urge you to keep an eye out for our factory tour video and of course, see one in person when able. Have a great fourth!

Great revue. But I had to laugh at Will's reflection in the clear coat. Pause it at 11:16 and see how big wills head is compared to his body because of the slide. Lol

#Asmoke
Excellent dealer review. Love this unit. Thank you
The RV industry is screwed.
It's an RV going down a road like a hurricane and earthquake, not a Frank Floyd Wright building. You get what you pay for.
“Get what you pay for”
That would be awesome but it’s not the case.
Marty, thanks for the reply. I think you will see something very fresh and unique with our Lineage Series M. The quality is like nothing else, the craftsmanship is 5star and we will be taking steps to be a leader in service and warranty coverage. Have a great fourth!
SO SO True thanks

Lots of gr8 innovations in this rig . I love the pocket screen door .
Thanks for the positive feedback Shawn! We hope you can see one soon at a dealer near you! Happy 4th from all of us at Grand Design!
@@GDMotorizedI am not sure it would keep a pet inside and doesn’t look like you can install a screen defender.
@@janicecrockett1400 do screen defenders work? I see your dog in your picture. I'm looking for our first RV and the dogs are a concern. I have dogs from 4lbs to 80lbs.
I like this format Mat, perspective insight from the designer.
It’s sad that this debut has to follow an overwhelming distrust of Grand Design for their past lack of empathy for the many buyers that purchased brand new GD RVs with serious safety issues.
I was going to say the same thing, especially for a new untested in the market product.
Ditto. Thank you for stating this because I wanted to say the same thing!
I wouldn’t buy nothing from Grand Design. They treat their customers like crap. They need to stand behind their 5th wheels
Matt, wife and I now live in Elkhart county. Been playing PB since 2005. Hit me up if you want to play while here. Jeff and Anita Shank
Don’t buy trash.
When you do your review can you mention if this has automatic levelers? Also, this has a rack on the top for storage, but how do you get to it because there is no ladder attached?
4 point Hydraulic Leveling Jacks are standard. Ladder is also on the way
That rack on the top is basically useless and just more places for leaks when attached to the roof.
Great debut of a beautiful B+ motorhome. The inside is beautiful & thoughtfully designed. And I love the sideways slam latch doors!
I guess you missed the fact that this is a GD. They don't honor their warranties...
@@TalonID I didn't miss that. I didn't say I'd buy it. I like the features and how it's designed.
You don't need to add negativity just because of the brand and reputation. You could find something nice to say, I'm sure!
@@TalonID I never had a problem with warranty, they have gone out of their way for me.
@@EarlBalentine You're lucky, I had to get a lawyer evolved and my unit was bought brand new. It was out of commission for months and months and returned with the same flaw. Then, they declined to fix it.
@@pattyolson3842 I was being nice based on the hell they put us through.
Hey, Matt. Not boring at all. Great motorhome.
Thanks for the feedback! Happy 4th from Grand Design!
Dan, thanks for your great feedback! I'm glad it caught your eye and I hope you get to see it in person very soon! Have a great 4th!
Thank God for all the logos. I wasn't sure who the manufacturer was.
Crazy, the laptop I am using has one logo on it and no company name but one look and you know who it is. btw, I didn’t notice, was there a logo in the toilet bowl under the water?
That is because Grand Design is a Freemason phrase. The compass is a Freemason symbol. It's a Freemason Company. #KnowYourEnemy
The Grand Design script on the front doors is the most tacky.
😂😂😂😂😂
Perhaps all the logos on this is because it is a prototype, and is going to be filmed alot. Hopefully the actual productions will not have all the advertising of the brand.
The variety of textures in the kisluxbag pack is impressive. From smooth leather to textured suede, there's something for everyone.
Thanks for the positive feedback Karen. You are going to love it in person! Hope you can see one soon. Have a great fourth!
This is how we do baby.
Hardcore cool European material for sure.
Production Models will have smaller names front and rear
Thank you for your positive feedback. I hope you can see one in person soon! You will love it! Happy 4th from all of us at Grand Design!
Keeping the batteries away from the bed area is crucial! First one I've seen!
If the batteries catch fire, good luck getting out!
Thanks for the positive feedback! Lineage has been in the works for over a year. Lots of thought went into the entire unit. Have a great holiday!
Nice rv, I like the theater seat option and would like to see theater seats
Thanks for the feedback Lee! Theater seats will be standard and we will have pictures on line, very soon. Have a great fourth!
Thanks for the feedback Lee. Theater seating will be standard. Keep an eye out for pictures/videos coming soon! Happy 4th from Grand Design!
At this point, anyone who buys a Grand Design, deserves a Grand Design.
Won't be long til Liz Amazing gets a call from a new owner on how crappy it turns out to be!
And the Carsons will be needing more content.

Great RV!!! Had a good laugh at Will's reflection at the slide out 😂!!!
Haha! I was wondering if anyone would comment!
Curious to see what the true OCCC will be
Flooring is Shaw, looks woven, but it is not. Gladiator Lino

Thank you for your POSITIVE feedback Julie. I hope you can see one in person soon! You will love it! Happy 4th from all of us at Grand Design!
Great design! Would like the dinette to be a jack knife sofa with attached tray tables for eating. Can't wait to see the rest of the grand design class c designs.
Power Theater Sofa with dual tables is standard in production models, the dinette will be the option
Thanks for the positive feedback Jessica! We hope you can see one soon at a dealer near you! Happy 4th from all of us at Grand Design!
And how fast will it start delamination?
Thanks for the feedback TheByard. Stay tuned for a factory tour with Matt, Will and Mike in the next couple weeks as we approach 7/15 production. The motorized facility is state of the art with MANY items that are, first to market. Every step of the way is done with superior craftsman ship and with safety/quality in mind. I think you will like what you see! We are also launching a first to market "special" warranty with our Lineage product line up. Grand Design will be walking with customers every step of the way!
Another awesome video Matt & Will.
Looks very nice! I can't wait to see the quality of it in person!

I'm in love with this coach. I love that it has good amount of solar and a generator. Love the interior storage and design. Full paint job is beautiful but I'd go without for better price. Love the side open slam latch doors outside. I need one
LOL. That is an essentially useless amount of solar.
Pam, thanks for the kind words and feedback. I hope you can see one soon at a dealer near you! Happy 4th from Grand Design!
Thanks for the feedback Colleen! We hope you can see one soon at a dealer near you! Happy 4th from all of us at Grand Design!

Thanks for the positive feedback Sandy! Yes, the theater seats will be standard, with dinette option. We hope you can see one in person soon! Hope you have a great 4th!
This is simply beautiful. It looks different from all others, and I guess the MSRP will probably be a little bit high.

I wouldn’t take a chance on anything Grand Design because they wouldn’t stand behind their RV’s -I don’t trust them 🤷♀️
I always got everything fixed where there was a problem and free parts even after the warranty was expired. I'm happy. Most of the time it's the dealers that screw up and lie about stuff. I always call the warranty people to make sure they are on the same page as the dealer.
Lol you are greatly mistaken.

Wait a couple years. Junk yards will be full of them when they fall apart. You can get it cheap and rebuild it the right way then.
Thanks for the feedback! Happy 4th from all of us at Grand Design!
Any new production RV manufacturer should be up to the times offering a full lithium operated system with 3000 watt inverter and solar panel to operate AC and all other appliances, eliminate that generator that takes up space, adds weight and expensive maintenance.
But then they charge $30k for $5k of solar.
Have to wonder too
