That river is absolutely loaded with trout. Halfway through the video you commented that the area above the fast water you were fishing at the time looked "trouty". I was eyeing that area from the beginning of the video. I was thinking to myself "Dan take a walk of about 80 yards upstream, I bet there are some big ones in there". Sure enough, you hooked into some good ones in that part of the river. I enjoyed the video, Dan.

i use a 5 weight, Weight forward line with a 9 foot leader and either 3x or 4x tippet. nymphs, wets and bucktails.

Why do u fish bArbed hooks?
I fish barbed and barbless majority of size 14 nymphs and smaller are barbed. Streamers and dries and larger nymphs are barbless
