the orchestra is behind the mirrors on stage with us. Baayork Lee honored Michael Bennet's original concept of an unseen orchestra to depict a realistic audition as possible!

Really enjoyed this production last Friday - my first CLO visit from here in CLE. Gabrielle Ruiz - as Diana - was a total standout... role couldn't be performed better. Only negative - and I must say I was SHOCKED by this, CLO - was the TAPED ORCHESTRA... not live players. What a cheap move for you and a letdown for the $200 we paid for tickets. Don't really care if it's the difference between profit or loss - it is unacceptable. Shame on you.
I know I'm 4 years late but this comment is absolutely hilarious!!!!! XD As Gabrielle said, the orchestra is indeed live but they are hidden away in most productions as that was the intention by the original director for the reasons Gabrielle stated. Should really get your facts straight before making a public fool of oneself, lol.
