    I dropped my speaker grills off to Michael to get them replaced with new cloth. Michael was kind enough to offer me a tour of the factory and also visit THIS room. What an experience. It was great to see the display wall with one of every speaker they have made. I met Scott Krix as well. I love my Krix's.

      Michael's not a salesman (Krix don't sell to the public!), he's actually the Trinnov specialist at Krix, and I guess I pushed him a little for that answer as I was trying to get out of him how the room creates excitement in people who go through it. I know I was blown away by it, some of those scenes really pushed the envelope in terms of sound object positioning.

    My setup is very close to that one except for the speakers, unfortunatly we don have a Krix dealer in Portugal :(. Awesome processor and amplification from Trinnov the Zidoo, no need to upgrade to the 5000 I did that, and saw no improvement on the image or sound quality that are already great !

    Man oh man...what a fun video!
    Michael is a true ambassador of the Krix brand. Always good to see him on the channel.
    This room is very similar to mine for length and width. That extra ceiling height is what I am missing and it makes it hard to have a riser. Low ceiling + projector in the ideal riser spot = no go
    The acoustic treatment in that room looks incredible! It takes a lot of coverage to cover all of those hard surfaces. People ask why I have so many acoustic panels in my room. It's really not that much compared to a professional treated room such as this. This room is just a lot prettier and hides the treatment.
    Interesting choice on the 16:9 aspect ratio. I think 16:9 is king for anyone watching various content in their room. Happy that Krix agrees with me. And then paired with the NP5...very nice!
    Lol @ 27 channels of audio. I can't even imagine that in a home theater setup like this. Incredible!

    Wow, just wow. I’d be interested in some details of the bed layer. Specially the position of the side surrounds given the 4 seater spans most of the width of the room.

    • @BuildMontage
      @BuildMontage 7 місяців тому

      With the Trinnov, each speaker is seen as a separate speaker. The side surrounds are not bridged with the same signal, so they are all time aligned separately. From what I learned, the speaker layout follows the Trinnov guide, although there is no voice of God speaker in the middle, it gives such a great coverage of sound. I didn't feel like the side speakers were too close either on the back row and I did sit on the edge seat during a test. Trinnov has a way of making the sound melt away into the distance - it's pretty cool!

    Krix factory apparently just finished building my 4 Atmospherix A20, they're the start of my home theatre :D I'd love to hear from them if they find some AT screens / brands affect the sound more than others. Or perhaps a good calibration would mitigate much of that.

    • @krixdotcom
      @krixdotcom 7 місяців тому

      Hi @LostBoyNZ, congratulations on your new speakers! Regarding screens, each brand and model will have different specifications, so it's always best to check the manufacturer's data sheets. With that said, woven screens tend to attenuate the sound a lot less than perforated (better for audio, less so for video) - but screen tech is always evolving. Perforated does require some extra planning, as it will effect equalisation more and require extra power/handling/sensitivity to overcome (with some speakers better suited for this scenario than others).

    I would love to hear Krix one day. Live in the USA. The "wall of sound" seems very alluring.
    Am puzzled why heavy bass trend has not moved down under. My 6 X 18's in my theater seem just right for my seats, can't imagine how those two subs can fill all seats with full bass.
    Unable to travel much to hear my answer.

    • @BuildMontage
      @BuildMontage 7 місяців тому +1

      There’s 4 subs in the room, two 18” and two 15”. The beauty of Krix subs and the LFE is that it’s very clean, non boomy and tactile bass. If you watch my video I did at ISE Krix and Trinnov did a room with 16 x 18” subs so they are definitely into the big bass 😂 if you want to watch that vid I can link it to you.

    Why white carpet in front of the screen? Will most likely be distracting during a movie. Should have been black carpet up to the first row of seats and then white from there back. In my theatre I flat blacked out the walls behind and on the sides of my screen as well as the ceiling and also the carpet in front of the screen The image absolutely pops of off the screen because it’s completely black all around it. Really don’t care about how the room looks when the lights are on. IMO What’s important is what it looks like when the lights are off and the movie is playing. ☮️
