This receipe really tried my patience...I was done, I was mad, swore up and down that I was never going to use this receipe again because it was taking soooooo long to get to 300 degrees and when it was finally time to dip my apples, I'd absolutely LOVED this receipe. I was able to cover 15 apples successfully and still have some leftover to dip about 2-3 more. This will be the receipe I use moving forward. Thank you ma'am...thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Finally a receipe that actually works!!!
Hello, Thelawn! LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! I always say you must have patience because it will eventually reach 300 degrees. I see you absolutely loved the outcome! Your customers will continue to ask for these, no doubt!
Hello, Taniel. I'm glad you enjoy using the 6-4-1 candy apple recipe. Nope, you don't have to worry about your candy mixture getting too hard and having to reheat your candy before you finish dipping up to 24 candy apples. I'm sure your customers loved them as well too. My customers always want the 6-4-1 candy apple recipe.
Awesome....have a order coming up next weekend and will be trying that 6-4-1 recipe. Also gonna try cheaper gel coloring. Will be more cost effective and more profit for me.....keep the great tips coming.
Hello, Pamela. You're so welcome. I use Hobby Lobby's gel food coloring for $1.99 and it's great! I never have any issues with it. You know Hobby Lobby is always having a 50% sale on baking supplies too. I hope this helps you.
Hello, Bridget. Just keep practicing and you will get it. Have you tried looking at my tutorial here, this is much easier: ua-cam.com/video/s-kwPzN87so/v-deo.html
With the extra dipping chocolate stuff could you put it in molds like baby molds or whatever would it turn out OK or don’t you know or what do you think Santa Claus is snowman Easter bunnies
You will enjoy it. You can find the pots that I use in my Amazon Bake Shop at: www.amazon.com/shop/diyqueendiva and I use the 2-1/2 quart size in this tutorial. When I have bigger candy apple batches I use the 3.5 size. Whatever pot you use, just make sure it's a heavy bottom.
Hello, J.D. I wipe them down like 4 to 5 times during the 12-24 hour wait period. Then right before I dip them, I will wipe them down again to make sure the wax and sap is off. I hope this helps.
Hello. It just depends on how hot your stove gets. Have patience... lol. Make sure you have a candy thermometer so you can can cook it until it reaches 300 degrees. It'll be about 35 minutes or longer. It just depends on how hot your stove gets, but don't turn it up too high because your candy can burn. Don't go no higher than 5.
Lol. Now you've figured it out, you will be making sure your house is cool from now on. The majority of us have experienced this. This is why I try to be so informative in my videos and share the experiences I had as a beginner as well.
@@DIYQUEENDIVA so I made a batch of sample apples and they turned out wonderful. The house is at the right temperature and when my packaging is complete the final look will be amazing. I wish I could upload photos for you to see. Again thank you so much.
You need to be using 6-4-1 candy apple recipe. Make sure you are not adding too much gel food coloring. Too much gel food coloring will make your candy apples thick too.
Hello, BeeRavie. I only stick with what I know and that's the Wilton's white icing color that I use pretty much in all of my videos. I've never used any of the colors with Americolor, so I wouldn't be able to give any advice on that particular brand.
Try to get a window AC and a dehumidifier to place in the kitchen. I’ll look later on if I can find an AC on sale for under $100 because it’s getting ready to be Fall soon. If you happen to try to make them, be sure to use Hi-Sweet dry corn syrup. Bag them and put them in the refrigerator right away but there’s a high possibility your candy apples might get sticky before bagging them. The way you say your house is hot, there’s also a possibility they might melt before bagging them. Try about 3 first and put a fan in there if an ac or dehumidifier is not an option to see what happens before trying to make them for the church and your daughters birthday party. This way you’ll know. I hope this helps you.💕
Hello Queen. My candy keeps seizing up. I'm using gel colors from hobby lobby. I'm getting so discouraged. I'm not sure what's happening. I'm doing the recipe to the T. Please help 🙏🏽
Your candy shouldn't be seizing up at all. I hope you are not stirring your candy while it's cooking. Do not stir, do not have your stove on too high, and do not add too much gel food coloring. I bet you're stirring your candy up while it's cooking. Please come back and let me know.
@@DIYQUEENDIVA ok. I tried it this morning. I think I figured it out. It was the color I was using. It said gel color the Walmart brand. But I used Wiltons and it turned out perfect! Thank you for this recipe. The crisp is amazing!

I extremely love the 6-4-1 bcuz my apples were getting hard fast and most difficult to dip the apples.

Can you save left over candy and use again later day? I have only 6 apples to do but she wants 2 metallic blue and 2 non metallic blue
I never re-use my candy apple mixture, but it won't hurt if you use it within 2 days or so. I wouldn't go past a week. That's just me.
