You wipe out the first army and then retreat to your territory for replenishment and go into ambush stance. Use the sacrifices to give your army some buffs and you will be able to barely beat the second attack if you win you have won the entire campaign. After that he is one of the easiest campaigns in the game. He has a safe starting location and the sacrifices are OP.
Spam spear man and darkshards and destroy everything around you for next 20 turns and farm slaves on skaven ez Dark elves 2nd army turn 15 Fire mage probably and farm more slaves for next 50 turns win campaign by 150
Good old Malekith was the first lord I ever played back when this game released he was absurdly easy back then I conquered the entire planet in 150 turns. Every single city. I imagine things have changed considerably with all the DLCs
Well hardly the *only* way to go, it's definitely possible to play on Legendary without doing any sort of cheesy strategies. It just won't be quite as effective. However, in my opinion cheesing isn't that fun anyway so I'd rather take the added challenge of trying to deal with it the old-fashioned way
@@Kuddochan It isn't really an extra challenge to "deal with it the old-fashioned way." It's just less efficient. I would argue the challenge is sometimes greater when trying to cheese, because you have to take big risks and be awfully greedy. Not everyone can execute the cheese tactics. But there's no reason not to try because the reward is often worth it compared to throwing armies away at every siege because you feel it's somehow more honorable to be a less efficient general.
I nearly died... "the fatest character in the game" with the picture lol..... Also I think she and Mazdamundi (and every other Slann) are quite enourmous;) I'd like to see either an Empire or Norsca Guide anytime soon Keep going legend
This guide (a bit outdated nowdays) has been very useful, many thanks. I always strugle with Vampire Coast and Tomb Kings...I never realize that you can recruit Necrofexes so quickly...
I know it's not a common feeling but I really like Cylostra. She's pretty funny, unique (as in she was made for the game) and she's remarkably nasty in combat when higher levels as spamming those questing knights as well as her normal summons get crazy. Plus as a ghost she's pretty tanky against stuff that doesn't have magic.
Would love to see a first 20 turns as Skarsnik, probably one of the hardest factions in the game but also a really fun one (according to me, of course this is subjective).
You want schemes? I got schemes. Skarsnik is the only Greenskin that matters. We know there's gonna be a Greenskin overhaul in the next few months so best to wait for that to drop.
I've just done Cylostra in Legendary difficulty, I found a better start ! Turn 1 : Change the military building to build a mortar building, then rush the blue vipers straight forward. Turn 3 : Blue vipers are dead, you have 3 settlement. Don't invest in them, just recruit 9 mortars. Turn 6 : With your 9 mortar, 1 caronade, Paladin and whateven lasts give up your settlements and RUSH Lothern Turn 10 : Siege of Lotern, take the town easily with your endless mortar hammering Turn 10 - 45 : Exterminates High Elves with your mortars (ealy game HE armies are full of lancers, archers, lotern seaguard, you can defeat all their armies withour taking one casualties, the only few damages they will inflicts will be tanked by the Paladin) Turn 45 : You have unified Ulthuan for the drowned (you have won the game, because keeping this place is easy, full world conquest in 201 turns for me) I never used one Necrofex. In Cylostra's and Burke Black's Armies, Sirenes are almost impossible to kill. But I have rushed Tormented Mournguls heroes, because they are so Tanky, a must have to let your cheap gunnery mobs reach 300 kills each battle.
Did Direfin on Legendary the other day. Easy win in Vortex. There you go for Skeggi (it's a capital in Vortex) and abandon your starting city. You use the same cheese with Lords, but I tend to use her summoned units to make her battles easier, so I would level her summoning special ability and get to summon spell.
Very good clip, as always, very entertaining. But, alas, I laughed my a.. off when Cylostra did her thing and wailed at 32:40 and Legend said: "Uuch... she is sooo annoying." Hahaha, that was hilarious.
I wanna see grimgor 20 turn because when I take the province I wanna know which direction to go that would be best. I usually go south but then the dwarfs show up, if I go north than usually the top knotz show. I never had a problem with karak azul tho
Very informative video , thank you legend , take a break tho you sound ill or tired . Once back , I'd like to see a guide for my man teclis , he gets kicked by the lizard boys , the bloodhall coven ( or something ) , madame khalida and eventually the squid lord every time I play with him , also what to level up first on him .
Could you do Wurzagg Da Great Dancy Boi? I've been wanting to try him but having never played greenskins a trial by fire feels like I wont learn anything
@LegendofTotalWar, thank you so much for this guide I've been trying to crack this for a while. A little suggestion, can you add somewhere that this is a mortal empire guide.
I would like a Turn 20 guide for Queen Khalida in the Vortex campaign. I know that it covers some of the other strategies Settra again, but the Sentinels of Xeti are kind of a messy faction and I wonder if it's a good idea to push in deep to the north early or let the Sentinels of Xeti be destroyed by the Loremasters while fighting the Cult of Sotek. In previous campaigns, I've been trying to make friends with the Cult of Sotek, but that coldblooded logic is really in the way of any kind of agreement, so I've given up on that in my newest playthrough.
Can you please give me tips of army composition and how to place them on the field with this faction. I find them very difficult to place. Usually I place gunners infront and melle in the back, but it's a very bad tactic as when the ranged moves back they can shot above the mele
@LegendofTotalWar I see you often Raise Dead at the EndTurn. But doesnt it save you 1 turn worth of upkeep if you do it at the Start of the next turn?! Unless you think you will be attacked over the endturn, and need the unit(s) for that fight.
anyone have any tips for an empire legedary? its my first time going it without help and i've tried 3 times to get past turn 30 (at least) and each time i get flanked by green skins to the east and humans to the west. My army is 16 with spears and archers because i'm trying to get better building faster but when i realize oh shit, i'm stuck at the capitol at lv2 garrison and being besieged by 2 armies. Pretty sure i should just go lower dif. but wanted to know if there any tips or should i just stay at the capitol and fight off any armies till it can fight on its own? (sorry for any confusion I'm not used to legendary yet lol)
Actually bloated corpse in early is great in siege to blow up gate crew + if enemy havent huge amount of missiles, you can send them in front of your army and blow up some units at start.
Have you done gelt that would be great as I've just started my empire legendary campaign as him Also you're advice for artillery was basically they work like artillery works
I really wish they hadn't screwed up the Growth for the Vampire Coast. Hopefully it's either fixed if it was a bug, or reverted if they actually intended to do it. Just seems so weird to make that sort of change almost a year after the faction comes out.
Alexander Guler in mortal empires? He is absurdly easy in vortex probably the easiest campaign I’ve ever played. You just wander around with doom stacks and don’t have to worry about defining anything.
You should raise dead on the turn you intend moving out of your territory and/or attacking. Raising it at the end of your turn to get pointless upkeep costs seems silly.
I'd like to see some turn guides for the Vortex campaign. For example, when I play Clyostra on Vortex I immediately abandon her starting capital and move to Skeggi. but I'd be interested in how you manage it. Also Vortex turn guide for Nakai cause I keep getting my ass kicked on legendary with him.
I don't think I'd play the campaigns differently for Cylostra. the same is true for both: not a very interesting starting position. The best thing you can do in both, is just ignore your starting position, and start sailing south, and attack every settlement along the way to establish a pirate cove. make sure you can recruit syrene's asap. Level up cylostra's magic and syrene buffs, and you can get a really good army really soon. you'll gather a buttload of gold doing this, and then you can pick a place you wanna settle.
