This game was so much fun, until I figured out the page number for the fireplace puzzle. You "win" the privilege of exploring the island. As if we haven't been doing that already. Very well designed game, with a total letdown of an ending.
I noticed that too I was like ok the actual person was cooler. You know it was the brothers right? Robyn and Rand who were the actual ones who did those themselves. That’s a shame they took it away there’s no reason for it
I'm usually understanding of developers in all matter of scenarios, but this was just bonkers. And I'm afraid they are going to ruin the Riven remake too.....because there will be no live action actors :(
@@jeanjacqueslundi3502 the models in Riven actually look quite nice! The animation seems to have been made with footage capture too, and while there is some slight movement jank here and there, they're all a vast improvement over this remake's models. And I mean, after seeing how low rez the old footage was... It's hard not to understand why they did it this way really. It may have worked on flat surfaces and projected recordings... not so much on open fields and wide rooms. Tho I do remember the 7th Guest remake... they did some volumetric recordings there, which worked quite well, according to folks! But I dunno if that _only_ works for VR, and they'd need to record new footage. That may fly for Atrus, who's already an older man of his wisdom... not so much for Sirrus and Achenar if we wanna go for accuracy (i.e., have them played by the Miller bros). With Riven, it's even harder, after the deaths of Sheila Good and John Keston... We could always have different folks play them... but I mean, would that really fly with the fans?
Man, compared to the other guy I watched who just kinda wandered around aimlessly for about an hour before even finding the note on the rock, I'll gladly watch this guy take his time LMFAO

I played it in PS1, now i dont have a PS1 anymore, i play my old games on PC whith the cd on emulators.

Its a simple menu setting to restore the original video images if you want the older orig versions.
