That promo for the Transhumanism Conference is great work. I just want to take a moment to that you editors and the other staff who work on Patristic Nectar's content.
Father, I have heard that the Nicene Creed is recited in our Church in the first-person singular due to the prevalent influence of adult Baptisms in Byzantine times, which changed the wording into the singular for the person being baptized. The Creed is still recited in the original plural form in the Coptic tradition, as well as in the Latin tradition (albeit with the Filioque added).
in previous times the Latins began with Credo in unum Deum, and that is the 1st person singular; I believe. but the Syriac Church also says We believe and, i suppose, always has.
You said and all the translations I see of Proverbs 14:23 say “In all labor there is profit, But idle chatter leads only to poverty.” But in my orthodox study Bible I have been reading for Proverbs 14:23 it says “Devisers of evil things things do not understand mercy and faithfulness, but mercies and faithfulness are with devisers of good things.” Should I be reading and studying the KJV/NKJV translations or my OSB translations?? I’m am new to orthodoxy and trying to figure outs what’s best and right. Thank you
Ever since I hear Jordan Peterson video on his answer when people asked him if he believed in God. The answer he gave has really made me think do I really believe or not. Jordan never gives a shallow or simple response.
I appreciate the new format. As a Christian living in a Muslim country, I love your presentations, Fr. Trenham.
thank you for opening up the comments. your videos have been very helpful to me as a catechumen. wanted to say thank you for this work.
Glory to God
May God guide you always, Father, & reward you for doing His work.

I believe in Georgian that's done too, and not only Nicene creed but most of prayers. (I'm not sure if Creed itself... Maybe Creed is singular)
in previous times the Latins began with Credo in unum Deum, and that is the 1st person singular; I believe.
but the Syriac Church also says We believe and, i suppose, always has.
No Georgian is also "I believe in one God"
But most of prayers are in plural not singular like in English
Please Father, tell us where we can one of those humungous prayer ropes.

How can we increase our faith?
