- Dainese 4 Stroke EVO Gloves Review www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/da... Building off the aggressive short cuff style of the Dainese 4 Stroke gloves, the 4 Stroke EVO gloves meet the new CE standard. Improvements over the original 4 Stroke include better elastication on the fingers, hard part protection along the pinky, and goatskin reinforcement on the palms. These improvements combined with double stitching at abrasion prone areas, a single leather panel the full size of the glove, and thermoplastic polyurethane on the cuff make the new Dainese 4 Stroke EVO Gloves one of the more protective short cuff gloves on the market.

I bought this glove a few days ago. Was stiff at first, but only a day or so of use and now they feel very comfortable. I feel these offer the protection I wanted. Very happy with them.
Just picked up the old 4 strokes at the Boutique yesterday.. love them. "Dear Diary" had me ROFL
Right? I was all caffeinated that day. Lino is a genius though.
Make sure you purchase the cleaning kit with these gloves, I am now a
month out on a brand new set shipping to me from Italy as a replacement.
Had these for a year and the palm leather didnt last and ripped on both
gloves yet the worst of it was on the left hand mind you this is with
the cleaning kit.
I just got these. Really beefy and make you feel your hands are safe as hell. I must be right in the middle of size M and S in hand size, even though I wear L in all Alpinestars gloves. I got the Medium and they feel almost perfect except the pinky is a little long and I know it'll take some breaking in before it softens up to a point where the stiff extra leather is noticeable. Once it softens up I expect it to get super comfortable. Good job Dainese
I'm curious, how do these gloves (or the Carbon Cover S-ST gloves) compare to the Scorpion SGS gloves?
I know one (obvious) difference is the 4 Stroke gloves are CE rated while the SGS gloves are not. I'm not sure if this is essential for street/highway riding though.
I have the Scorpion SGS gloves and LOVE them. I know someone who got the Scorpion SG3 from you guys and she loves those gloves (which I had recently considered getting). I recently got the Dainese Carbon Cover ST gloves (in red) and I have to admit it hasn't excited me as much as the SGS gloves has (though I think over time it will excite me, especially once I break them in).
Thanks!
I have the original four strokes, and I am a huge fan. These look sick!
They are sickness. Improved upon greatness.
What do you mean? In your opinion what would be your top pic for feel and a good level of pro?
Is it just me or are they hard to put them on? Anything I can do to loosen them a bit?
The best gloves i have ever owned, the break in was a bit much though , however with this level of protection it's worth it.
Iron word how long did they take to break in for you? I’ve worn them for a few rides now but they’re almost too grippy. It’s uncomfortably hard to my my hand and thumb around. Almost just want to say fuck these and go with something else
@Revzilla I'm looking for a pair if gloves for fast street riding + Canyons. The three gloves I'm looking at are (Scorpion Sgs MK 2), (Dianese 4 Stroke Evo), (Held Sr-X) which out of the three would you say offer the utmost protection for a sport bike ?
The 4 Stroke EVOs and SR-X Gloves both provide the most protection. -DrewZilla

I was just about to order the Druids S-ST gloves then saw these... they look killer man.
So which ones for me? I'm looking to buy new short cuff gloves for the summer to match my white Dainese Racing jacket and my white AVG K3 helmet. (The white with a dash of red Druids S-ST mach them perfectly, i hate the red fingers on the 4 stroke EVO though)
Is one better in the perforation area than the other? I live in Texas so best perf helps
If you don't need your gloves ASAP and can wait until the middle / end of March (pre-order), I'd recommend going with the 4 Stroke EVO gloves. They have more perforation (back of the hand) and stainless steel inserts. If you're looking for maximum ventilation, I'd look towards gloves with a bit of mesh build in like the Rev'It Dirt 2 gloves. -Hi-Viz Brian

Great gloves, plan to get them but they're over $200 now
This is a European cut glove, and it fits a bit tight. However, that little problem is solved, as the leather will break in 5-10%. A great glove.
What should I choose between Dainese X-Run, Dainese X-Strike and Dainese 4 Stroke EVO?
Which one is more comfortable, which one has better protection and which one has more ventilation?
Which one is better to be used in the city (never offroad or rain)?
kevo82 The Dainese 4 Stroke EVOs have the most protection, but armor can feel a little bulky. The Dainese X-Strikes have similar leather and similar palm protection, but the knuckle protection is more ergonomic and comfortable compared to the 4 Stroke EVOs. The X-Run have less palm protection. The X-Strikes have a bit more ventilation than the 4 Stroke EVOs. If you don't want a mesh glove, then the X-Strikes are the best balance between comfort and protection. -DrewZilla
I wear Medium for the Icon Pursuit gloves I had but unfortunately that measurement goes by hand width which is 3.25 inches. I want these gloves but they go by hand circumference, what size should I get?
Size large would likely be appropriate. -DrewZilla
Is there enough ventilation for 100+ degree weather? Which gloves are better, Alpinestar Celar Gloves or this one?
That depends on whether you tend to run hot or cold. Above 100 degrees, though, these are likely to feel pretty warm. For ventilation, the Celer Gloves are better. -DrewZilla
How soon will you guy be adding the images of the all black and black/white gloves?
Hopefully, we receive pictures from Dainese, soon. We don't have an ETA quite yet. -Hi-Viz Brian
Deciding between this glove, and the REV'IT Cayenne Pro. Your thoughts, RevZilla?
BigRedYeti The Cayenne Pro Gloves have a slightly longer wrist for more coverage, and the strap system really makes the glove feel secure. The Dainese 4 Stroke Gloves are better if you have shorter fingers, as the Cayenne Pro Gloves have slightly longer fingers. -DrewZilla
Appreciate the response! Based on your comment, I think I'll be going with the Cayenne Pro. I'm 6'3", long and lean with long fingers. Thanks again!
Hi, i measured my hand circumference and it's almost 8.5 IN, what size should i go for please?
I recommend size medium (MD). -DrewZilla

what do you recommend between these and Revit Chicane, knowing that I have long fingers and thin hands. thank you!
For long fingers, avoid Dainese and definitely go with REV'IT!. -DrewZilla

my hand measure 8.25, should i go with a Small or a Medium?
My hand is 8.25, and I wear size small. Therefore, I recommend size small for you as well. -DrewZilla
What size would you recommend that I buy this glove? when my hand circumference is 8.6 inches
I recommend size medium. -DrewZilla

My hand is 9inch I bought size L and for first drive I have a lot of pain for my little finger not comfortable. They will stretch?
When we gonna see what the other color combinations look like?
Hopefully late April or early May. -Hi-Viz Brian
Does this have touch screen capability?
I’m holding back with the cayenne pro due to this reason. @revzilla please reply
Unfortunately, no, these are not touchscreen-capable. Instead, you might consider the Held Spot Gloves. -DrewZilla

@@RevZilla Thank you!
You're welcome! -DrewZilla
I'll have to see if it comes in a gauntlet! Sick looking glove!
It's stealing a lot of DNA from the preexisting top end race gloves. It's just a sexy short toucher.
Anthony Bucci I'm looking for a pair if gloves for fast street riding + Canyons. I live in So Cal California where temps can go between 71-90 in Summer & 21C etc. but there are so crazy high speeders in my areas so I want the most protection possible. The three gloves I'm looking at are (Scorpion Sgs MK 2), (Dianese 4 Stroke Evo), (Held Sr-X) which out of the three would you say offer the utmost protection for a sport bike ?

***** Really hoping they come into stock soon. Ug.
What happened with "I am always size XL when it comes to dainese." :)
They started changing their sizing a couple seasons ago to be more American sizing. The exception would be the Full Metal Race Gloves, which are still a slim Euro fit. -DrewZilla
Dear santa send me these for xmas
grim R Don 't believe in fairy tales :D
It looks like the palm slider wouldn't really work as well as some other sliders
What other sliders are you comparing them to? -Hi-Viz Brian
So i tried to buy this glove from revzilla and use their price match to match cycle gear price which was a god deal. Even though it was clearly advertised in the cycle gear store and website. It ends out that revzilla does not want to match the price and gave me an excuse that it has to be the same size and color. In which i wanted red but in the same size that cycle gear had but cycle gear had black in the store but still revzilla was hard on not selling me for the price that cycle gear advertising . I was really disappointed. I hoping to get a good deal from these guys, but i guess they dont sell anything at a good deal.
Seawall R6 That's how price match works everywhere.
For me all Dainese gloves are a bit long in the fingers no matter what size I go for . Other brands seem too . Rather strange .
+THB I'd recommend trying one size smaller if you can. I find Dainese has shorter than average fingers but loose palms. Remember that leather gloves will stretch, so even if one size smaller feels tight, they should break in to fit better. -DrewZilla
I tried the S which is pretty tight and fingers still long . This is in Norway si maybe in Europe have difrent size but it is rather strange .
Thank you for recomandation .
+THB The sizes are the same here as in Europe. Were you able to try XS? Did you try other gloves from Dainese too? -DrewZilla
tried other brands too , and S is already kind of tight .
+THB You may just have to go with whichever are closest, as I can't recommend anything with shorter fingers for you. I apologize for any inconvenience. -DrewZilla
Too much red on the new version.
Anthony Bucci hehe, I actually might do that, if funds didn't allow for an Alpinestars GP Tech
