As a brazilian, who lived the whole life in Brazil, I alert: we have never been proud about the reality shown in the movie City Of God. This film is so true to life and heartbreaking for all of us. So, please, dont see criminal as a nice way of life or something. Futhermore, don't think entire Brazil is drowned in the crime, our country has beautiful places, wonderful people and great culture, as any other have.
I was thinking precisely about that, being the second time I saw the video, I doubted the way in which this video got so many 11 Million views and I thought of two things reading your comment, the first is because of the cinematography, the background music, while the The images are impressive due to the sequence shown in the film. The music gives it that relaxed atmosphere, provoking a feeling of everyday life in the video. These things generate wrong thinking about the entire reality. Rio is probably the second best state for economical opportunity, and one of the most dangerous. Just got back from a date with the girl of my dreams and its crazy met over a month ago on holiday and just so happened to live close to eachother, everytime i put this on i think of her its 3 am laying here looking up the stars just smiling ear to ear havent felt this good in a long time even if it’s nothing to do with love the beautiful voice behind just sends chills. I remember watching this with my family in brazil when i was very young, probably 7. and i was really scared so theyd make me cover my eyes or go to sleep, but i kept on wanting to watch it since it was really interesting to me. I honestly don’t remember anything other than i was scared and confused watching this, I didn’t understand anything since i was so young. One part I remember was when he goes over to one of the guys playing soccer and trades clothes with him so the other guy gets arrested and not him. Watching that i was like wow thats so smart but so mean.
I found this song not too long ago and immediately fell in love with it. I once walked around San Francisco for about 8 hours with this on repeat. I was devastated to say the least when it got removed from streaming platforms.

Just got back from a date with the girl of my dreams and its crazy met over a month ago on holiday and just so happened to live close to eachother, everytime i put this on i think of her its 3 am laying here looking up the stars just smiling ear to ear havent felt this good in a long time even if it’s nothing to do with love the beautiful voice behind just sends chills. I remember the whole coach ride back to the airport i had this on with similar songs just couldnt stop thinking of her its crazy how love can just come outta no where and just smack you straight in the face ah even tho no ones gunna care just had to get it off my chest hope everyones doing well ❤️

I remember watching this with my family in brazil when i was very young, probably 7. and i was really scared so theyd make me cover my eyes or go to sleep, but i kept on wanting to watch it since it was really interesting to me. I honestly don’t remember anything other than i was scared and confused watching this, I didn’t understand anything since i was so young. One part I remember was when he goes over to one of the guys playing soccer and trades clothes with him so the other guy gets arrested and not him. Watching that i was like wow thats so smart but so mean.
