Very nice. It's nice to see the result when someone determines to add liver and features for the enthusiast.
    Beautiful!

Hi Jenny, nice review of a great loco. I am not sure what people are complaining about when they say the roof shape is incorrect, it looks fine to me. Maybe someone will do a video showing the discrepency for those of us who can't tell. I bought D57, it runs silky smooth, no bits fell off in transit, which is nice, and it's a great addition to my fleet.

Check out the video from Dean Park model railway for a proper review that shows the issues! The Bachmann bodyshell is more accurate.

@@formidable38 Hi, yes I've since seen that review from Dean Park, he's about the only one to explain the issue properly. Thanks for the comment though. All the best Dave.

Good review, Jen. The 45s havent been one of my favourite locos, mainly because in model form, there always seems to be a big gap between the bogies and front of the body, especially noticable from the side. But this version from Heljan doesnt seem to have this and looks a lot better.
I dont understand why some mention about the cab roof not looking right. What's supposed to be the issue here?
Will be good to see your other reviews of the other models. The green is my favourite.

I looked at these but I preferred the Bachmann Sherwood Forester because of the split headcode boxes. I have just ordered one with factory sound for about £190

Re the PCB at the No.1 end where the decoder fits, if I can get one of these models, I would look at adding something to support the underside of the un suported part of the PCB. But they are looking rather tempting so far!

Such a shame that loco prices are pushing many railway fans out of the hobby.

Why do manufacturers insist on having both tail lights lit on BR era diesels, they were controlled by a 3 way switch giving left, off or right so no way would both be lit at the same time, also the cab lights are ridiculously bright as well, plus we have the incorrect shaped windscreens, the top and bottom should be parallel and not as modelled here. Its a nice model with some silly errors.

    Hi Jenny.
Love your channel. But I'm afraid rails don't impress me much. Made a purchase with them description was wrong. Emailed them about it, totally ignored me.
Great model, love the magnetic system for turning the lights on.
    Sorry about the moan.

Kennoway model centre is a better shop to buy from, found them 1stclass then Hattons. Much better for the packaging 📦 too when shipping out to you.

Well, you could always buy one from any of the other retailers out there. I bought mine D57 from Kernow models.
