Guys a man needs help, so I am dreading my hair by the towel rubbing method, how I do it is I wash my hair(whilst rubbing my hair clockwise with my hand) and then I dry my hair the same way as I do while washing my hair, my hairs starting too section and get locked up, but it isn't locking at the roots. So how do I lock them up at the roots? My hairs Caucasian(and before people say "eww a white boy with dreads") I'm actually mixed Jamaican and British, and have the same complexion as Gunther, I just don't carry the beautiful hair Jamaicans do unfortunately :( but any help would be appreciated, thanks for reading(if you did)

Hey Gunther is it true dreadlocks will loc/start faster if your hair is dry? I'm currently 4 days in on my hightop dread method using a sponge and still moisturize my hair.

J. Jay well depends on your hair mines gets greasy quite quickly so I shower either daily or every two days depending on how greasy my hair gets. I'd say wash it whenever it feels greasy or look greasy. Plus make sure you wash out all of the shampoo since it can leave residue in your hair and try to get anti residue shampoo more preferabbly residue free shampoo you can look up on wether a shampoo will leave residue or not.
