I finally got around to watching the branded lore “movie” I love it so much. Thank you for fully explaining it. I always saw the art, but I had trouble putting it all together. This has fully cemented it as my favorite lore and archetype. Thanks a lot!
Springans Kitt is still a card I like in this deck, works as a slightly worse 4th Aluber that can special summon from hand if you meet the requirements, which aren’t hard
For me, branded banishment is much more relevant and useful compared to branded in red. Often times I don’t have a despia or albaz in the grave, but the majority of time I’ve a fusion monster.
With the new build, you gotta go a bit out of your way to set up Branded in Red. But I think the utility of being able to be used on your first turn going second is also not to be underestimated.
It depends of the build and strategy, but I wouldn't say more relevant than Branded in Red. Branded in red has the advantages of: being a way to Fusion summon Guardian Chimera in opponent's turn; being a way to summon Mirrorjade in End Phase shenanigans in those times that you can't summoned it in the main phase; and some times dodge an Impermanence, veiler etc. using the target as fusion material. And with the new Quem (that can be summoned in the End Phase as well), now it's super easy to have an Albaz in GY to make the Branded in Red a live card.
Excited to see the new and updated builds for this format! Need to see how we're going to be navigating and answering Kash, Labyrinth, and Spright this format!
Bro call me crazy but I cut branded fusion. And opening and Lubellion. Was sick of being strapped to fusion summoning and it still works great. I don’t even play fusion deployment. It feels better honestly. High spirits, red, and white do more than enough to get any branded board I want.
I been on TTThrust and fusion duplication rn. Get ashed on branded fusion? Just fusion on your opponent’s turn. Plus if you resolve it and can activate TTThrust/ duplication, there’s nothing more depressing for your opponent then you bringing out dragoon on their turn
Really suprised you didn't mention ad'libitum. I can never put myself to cut it. It's so good. Alongside quem you can bring mirrorjade twice on your opponent's turn
Ad Libitum is the best card in Branded Despia to me. Dump him off Granguinol on opponents turn and you've got potentially the triple Mirrorjade combo. I have two builds. One is all gas and runs 45 cards and runs Proskenion who's just nasty, and the other is a Bystial heavy build that tries to utilize Chaos Angel and Dis Pater. Both are fun but if/once Branfu gets hit the Bystials will be key. A spicy Super Poly target could also be Triphyhoveritum.
Maybe I"m on pure copium but i've had really, really good success with branded synchro on DB. I think its the best build. Chaos angel is way too good in this format and the turn 3 clap back with dis pater is completely ridiculous if you know how to play it. Etude is a nasty floodgate, regained is as good as ever (especially the synergy with etude), and beast is just so clutch. Also shitting on rogue is always fun, drytron, mathmech, etc are all just turbo stomped. the bystial engine doesn't feel clunky at all and works extremely well with additions like quem, and the fact that the bystials synergize so heavily with the strategy makes them feel so perfect in the deck. You can also go full cheese and play the mathmech synchro which is insanely easy to summon and play the do you have a kaiju game. Its really fun, and really strong IMO. Not to mention you could even still run the standard ad lib lines if you wanted, although I just cut it because I hardly ever found it better than setting up an etude line.
This is the key to my wins for the future!!😍 i lost so many games if i go second… thats very annoying… and i dont know which line i should take if i go first. Most of the time i try to get dragoon on the field if dont know what my enemy plays. But it feels not the right way because its not really brandish…
I don't have access to either any of the Bystials, Cartesia or Quem So I went with, what I like to call, a F2P Branded mixed with one copy of each Tearlaments monsters (minus Reinohart) and Darklords to support the Despia monsters
Hey Galzo. I’ve been thinking about putting Abyss Actor- Superstar in the deck. It’s great to completely lock your opponent from using spells and traps. Take a look and see what you think. 😊
This doesn't lock your opponent out of spells/traps. It only stops them from activating them on this cards summon. After this monster has been summoned, they can continue using spells/traps
What about 1 scheiren? Let's you make 2 fusions at the same time with BF and also recycle important cards like Chimera. Also what about a higher bystial count ? 3 Lubellion, 3 magna, 1 druis, 1 Regained for infinite advantage. For me I would go: 1 Albaz, 1 Cartesia, 2 extra lubellion(3 in total), 3 magnamhut, 1 druis, 1 regained, 2 triple tactics and 3 nadir servant, 1 called by and 1 foolish burial. (16 in total).
@@Flapjack-vh6yc could you go through them for me? I could think of Deployment into Cartesia, normal summon Quem, and activate Branded Fusion. It's a lot of work.
@@ChaosDarkLight you need opening, branded fusion, cartesia, Albaz to discard and any other card really. Opening discarding albaz summoning quem. Quem dumb red. Activate lost. Summon cartesia, b fusion dumping Albaz and tragedy. Lubellion 1 lost 2 quem 3 tragedy 4 search adlib search Albion, special Albaz from quem, lubel shuffle back itself and Albaz for mirror jade. Cartesia for Dusk dump puppet, Albion in hand send retribution. Add back red from that then set red so quem can be live on opponents turn from red then make sanctifire and trigger it’s effect plus lost plus quem
So..... I was recently able to build another branded despia (was STOLEN at the start of the year) but i am still lacking cartesia and dusk dragon. I managed to open one Quem and one sanctified Dragon out of prize boosters. So, my question, fellow despians, is what the hell can i build with quem but wiouth a cartesia?
I still love masquerade and I would've lost some games at my last regionals were I not on it. At one point I just used poly with 2 cards in hand and of course the guy let it go and then I chained masq in grave which just made for a chimera line he wasn't paying attention to. Even when I got dark rulered in game 3 my opp paying 1200 life points was the difference between a draw and a counted loss. I can't let it go :C
Presents his "mandatory" list, and i disagree on the first item. I think aluber could be run at 2 in say keeper builds or even builds that run 2 quem to keep the normal summon count down. That being said, nice video idea. and most of these are relatively normal to put on
He’s a notorious keeper hater 🤣 But in all seriousness I like to run 3 normal summons at a 3-2-1 ratio in other decks with that many so it might not be that bad to do here depending on which one is more important.
@@yukotrey9422 I mean, ill put it this way. my main reason was the latter with quem at 2. My own way to run it is to indeed use 3 aluber, 2 cartesia, and 1 quem. However, i wouldnt say its mandatory to run 3 aluber, depending what other cards you have. Like I saw a list with 2 prosperity because it triggers quem and this would keep the deck very consistent Again, this was a critique on the word mandatory, ie if you dont do this then youre building the deck wrong. Otherwise why split the video up into multiple places and not just say put 2-3 albaz, rather than one section say 2 mandatory but 3 if you wanna be like him Theres also the idea that he keeps bringing up with puppet where "its not mandatory but consider if you wanna win tournaments", most people who are seriously objectiing to nightmare in the deck are doing so because they are questionning its validity, not whether its fun to play. but theres a conflation of these ideas and he doesnt really address its validity
I personally don't like Keeper but I understand that a lot of people like the Predap build. You can definitely run 2 Alubers with the Keeper build, but I think Predaps take Branded too far from Branded so you'll have to cut a lot to fit in the package. Fair though, thanks for the comment.
I LOVE how you organized the content galzo, clearer than water. Keep going (and tell me more about the importance of dragoon)
