One of the most emotionally devastating songs ever
Yeah .. 1999 was a huge pinnacle in my life too, this song screams it in so many ways yet I didnt even know of this song then, so I get a rebirth? :(
The guitar tone in this song is brilliant
No Distance Left To Run > Stop Crying you heart out
Probably my favorite blur song its terribly sad but sometimes when im at the deepest of depressive episodes i use to to sleep
Doing exactly that right now.
Nice X
It’s one of the most beautiful songs ever written. The pain in Damon’s voice and those haunting guitar chords from Graham. Genius.
Mr James crying in the end really makes this all the more heart-breaking - gives me goosebumps.
Johnny Showbones did he?
What a break-up song! I literally just bawled my eyes out!
+singIeservingfriend it is interesting how Damon was sometimes critisised for writing 3rd person observational songs too often in blur and then he comes up with the most intimate and heartfelt song it is possible to write.
This is probably the most raw live performance by them that I have seen. Damon looks and sounds so pained to even be singing it.
this song is always there reminding me i’ll never completely get over him.
I hope you're with someone
Who makes you feel
That this life is a life
One that settles down
Stays around
Spends more time with you
I got no distance left to run ♫ ohhh shit :c
Masterpiece
2020.. and we're still hurting bad 😔💕💪
heart stopping, breaking and growing wings.
this just makes me cry
Such a beautiful song...
I GOT NO DISTANCE LEFT TO RUNNNN *cries loudly*
such a heart-wrenching rendition
Damon wrote two great songs about his split from Justine Frischmann.
Both of them very haunting and heart felt, but also both of them with a lyrical content which speaks of acceptance. That other song even says "thank you" to Justine for the good times they had.
The name of that second song?
"Tender"
I'm pretty sure that "Mellow Song" is also about them breaking up and going on separate ways ..!
Luc ky Most of the album '13' is about the break up - "1992", "Mellow Song", "Trailerpark", "Caramella" etc
I feel you Damon..I feel you
i love them
Gives me chills every fucking time, Perfect.
ídolo único en su género
Damian/Graham...On par with Lennon an' Mcartney
i fall in love with this perform!!!
This is a very nice version! Thanks for uploading :)

beatiful song...
amazing !
When you see me
Please turn your back and walk away
I don't want to see you
Cause I know the dreams that you keep is wearing me
When your coming down, think of me here.
that part will always kill me... 😢
makes me cry

Heartbreaker
I LOVE THIS SONG SO FUCKING MUCH... URGHH, AND I'M NOT CRYING RIGHT NOW
Beautiful....I'm in love.3
Incredibly sad and beautiful. Alex and Damon look very sad :(
The guitar in this is just incredible. I aint a fan of blur, but damn this song =)
I can see that...
it's so sad
Thanks for sharing this - where is the rest of this gig??? Someone else has posted a clip of 'Battle' from this session - but where is the rest!!!??? They were on fire, i need to see!
@mok3055 but then again, all of their songs are the best.
this is a very sad version, at the end alex is like crying and damon face
Great song, the intro reminds me of Running To Stand Still by U2
この曲をカートが聴いたらきっと嫉妬するだろう。
The sound of Britpop crashing down around your ankles.
The dream is over...
that would be Battery on Your Leg
He makes love with the mic...
That was so depressing
I got no distance left to run.
@cyyytr0n Maybe that was the night they filmed the video for this song.
En los años críticos de damon, cuando la ruptura estaba reciente con Justine
2:53
Hes stronger than (her) drugs!
anyone know what kind of guitar graham is using?
X
Why'd they up the key? It loses its hurt and pain tone and feels more buoyant.
I hate to say something stereotypical like that but, this is my ultimate breakup song.
Sad. In a good way..
Just Albarn...
Possibly because the original requires a guitar tuned down 2 semitones. Easier to do in E so can use the same guitar for other songs without retuning? Not sure.
Is the female vocal Justine
no
is alex crying in the end?
Yes :'(
Somewhere between The Joshua Tree album version and the Zoo TV live version
kane
whos that girl on keyboard?
that biznatch from Elastica?
Diana Gutkind
Re. guitar it's a Gibson ES 335.
so no-one's gonna mention the giant gummi bear behind Damon, then?
This is on the level of Bob fucking Dylan.
Which? What this? Y?
they all look like they spent about 3 hours or so sleeping the night before
I know, but it doesnt have the heavy depressed feel of the original. They played great, but it doesnt do it for me.
