“Food is the keystone habit”. So 100% true for me. Grateful to be having bright holidays all season in my right-sized body now. (And yes, I have been SO much more present for my family and friends!) You know what’s so funny? A year ago my (overweight) doctor told me to go on a low-fat diet bc my cholesterol and blood sugar were high. I found BLE and had lost 40 lbs when I came back. He actually looked a little flustered and commented that I didn’t have to lose any weight. I had had a borderline obese BMI and he tried the pay-you-a-compliment you’re-too-skinny stance. I was a size 8-10 at 5’5” by then. Dude. I do not need judgements of any kind from the doctor. I was seriously wrestling with this thing, it took all my focus to achieve the mental transformation which requires a certain mindset to retain, and the actual *doctor* is discouraging my choices. He’s a nice enough guy, but that was NOT nice. So YES, S.P.T., THANK YOU for speaking to well-meaning pros like him. For the love of god. Someone needs to connect with these people. This doctor himself is addicted. What’s the path through the multiple minefields of cognitive bias there? Well, I’ll give him a copy, even for his own sake, and hopefully the wisdom of he universe allows this information to get through. 🙏
I bought the e-book.. can I join the selfie contest too? And of course.. CONGRATULATIONS!! Awesome book!! I started reading and I really can’t stop.. incredible!!
I lost 22 kg the first 5 months on BLE, i lost interest in snacking and found the program easy to follow... but i startet slipping, and ended up binging on sugar and flour several days a week..i put 15 kgs back on and am now trying it again... somehow it feels like i had one opportunity to get it right and now my brain has figured out how to get me to keep slipping up. It scares me a bit that i now feel like I`m at risk of binging and not just going back to my "normal" pre BLE diet if i can`t follow the program. which is such a shame because i really was thriving the first time around. the social support part i never really followed up on, i am a person who does not feel like connections with people online are real or meaningful, and i don`t know anyone IRL who does Bright line eating. I hope i can get back into BLE properly again, if not BLE has taught me a lot about portion sizes, ratios of the macros and why i overeat so I am still grateful.
