Need to get a welders cap, get them for 10.00 in my area. I had slag burn in my right ear from overhead welding. I now wear a welding cap every time I weld or plasma cut. Nice trailer
@Ryan Medlock i've had that happen more then once myself. I usually try to remeber to grab it but sometimes the "it will only take a minute" gets in the way lol
I missed why you didn't use all of the protection for the tails that already exists by the whole of the fender arch? an build a surround bracket and weld to the metal fenders? more protection, less time, waaa less materials?
amzn.to/2GIBAWn It's just an inexpensive 50 amp import, but I am very happy with it. It's dual voltage so it will run on 110 or 220 volts so you can pretty much take it with you anywhere.
+Gordon Reiher It sure has been Gordon! Next Saturday (Episode 8) it will finally be done, then I get to try it out on its first road trip! I used flux core for the entire build. I prefer gas, but being outside, the flux core works better. The slag left over from the Lincoln wire cleans up really easy though.

I'm not sure. It's how I decided at the time. Fingers crossed I've never broken a lens.
what is that part called, the springed pin thing you use to hold the gate shut?
I cant find the exact one but this one is very similar amzn.to/3atarFd
Nice what plasma cutter did you use?

cool.... Merci!
+dupont durant Thank you!
Great work. MAN this has been a looong project! I gotta ask: have you been using flux core wire the whole time?

cut a slot and a groove in your bolt, you got tools do that?
Good idea!
Newby here. What do you mean?
Yes, a slot in the bolt to allow for the Zerk threads, then a groove in the pin so the threads can
travel down to the slot
👋👌👋
👍
Why didn't you just flip the trailer over?
Good point but once I have it square and level I don't flip it. I try not to disturb it any more than necessary to keep things square.
