Grit, hugh? Some chain of ring modulation, distortion, flanging, and a gritty input to start with...there was no analysis here. Just shitty labels on nicotine finger-thinking.
I have all their plugins. They are wild. I would say they are for sound design and glitching. You need to do rhythmic automation the output to get them musical. I fully love their sense of humor and their commitment to their brand. Just order a shirt and see what you get. This stuff is art on so many creepy and disturbing levels.
DUZTEM DE7IL agreed. I was thinking of Dumpster Fire and Mishby for automation/layering. I actually love Dumpster Fires insane pitch shifting and spatial effects. Once you figure out the right incantation to cast on the UI you get some nice (or evil if you prefer) sounding stuff.
Same here. On the last game I did, Mishby was in few places, but especially Dumpster Fire was probably my main creative plugin. That's the first thing I try to use.
Freakshow has the branding down pat, their plugins are crazy wierd but fantastic once you find your way around the tentacles and chaos. Kclip is great btw, just bought 3.5 and use it all the time, thank you kazrog 👍
i like how they really make the customers think about the issue of stealing plugins, but not in a desperate and mean way, but on the same level, which essentially elevates the customer to one of them
Deceptively excellent company in every way. Truly inspired and masterfully executed… from the sonic quality, the flexible and generous approach to payment to having among the best marketing for any product I’ve ever seen. If you can’t find uses for their tools, perhaps you need to reconsider being in the “creativity business”. Stunning.
Haha yesss so happy to see some coverage for these guys. Amazing weird plugins that are a real experience and offer something extra on top of their sound manipulation. Also being able to steal them all from the website is a beautiful thing.
@@illford yes, i can see the use case in sound design now that a couple of people mentioned it... from what i can hear, the quality of the pluging seems pretty good... i've heard similar plugins in the past that were just horribly unoptimized and the sound quality was mostly awful... this one seems to do what it does just right and it does that in pristine quality...
@Freshold ah, dnb and dubs, excellent point... never really dipped my toes in those in depht. the few attempts i made failed to reach a level i deemed worthy of public enjoyment.
It's definitely a creative plugin for those moments when you need something different. Like, you're making Sythnwave and you want it to sound like the song is on a cassette that's been sitting on your Camaro's dashboard, in the sun, for weeks.
I blame you! I got them all as trials immediately after this video of yours. They're currently available as a bundle for half the price, too - which is still a lot, but I just had to support such creative plugin builders!
That’s an out of this world plugin! They sure got humor. I It looks alien and steampunkish. Like the small messages that it prints when you operate the controls. It’s got some attitude. If I think of Anti-user interface I think of Autocad in only textmode or oldschool flight sims. They’ve done well with this plugin.
Dude, you got my mail, lol! This was everything i had hoped for and more - your face says it all. Amazing company, amazing marketing, couldn't love them any more. THANK YOU for doing this. Normalize tentacles in VST's
All three of their current plugs are pretty great. Dumpster Fire 🔥 👍🏼 They could use a bit touching-up but still a breath of fresh air from the same played-out plugs over and over. I look forward to more from these guys. I’m diggin their style.
Freakshow's branding is amazing. Their plugins are a bit strange but fill a great niche in sound design. Love them, always looking to apply them where I can.
I LOVE Freakshow. But their best plugin is the "backwards" one. It randomly slices up samples of whatever it's on and plays it backwards at warped speeds. Really useful after you get by the goofy interface. (And there's a button at the bottom of their programs that actually reveal what they do.)
Perhaps you've figured this out already -- and I hope you've checked out the rest of their effects. (Searching now) The reason the stuff in the upper left wasn't doing much .. You had the quality set to high. That's the frowny face on the dial. The smiley face kinda lowers bit-rate/sample rate. And THEN the other three knobs take effect. .. And in the lower left for full effect you need to click on the "light" next to Desync to turn it on. You also missed the dial in the upper right region, next to that tiny display, under the sliding handle. And the "eye" icon is the "help" system.
They're so good. My tracks were feeling lifeless and dull, until I released the Shadows From Beyond Sight upon the world! Now I have Special Eyes, and cannot unsee the torturous calamity that lurches behind a too-thin membrane of existence. But my beat drops are tight!
Freakshow makes THE BEST stuff. Stop telling people about it. It's one of my secret weapons. heh heh. But no, seriously. GREAT stuff. It's MEANT to take the input and mangle it beyond recognition. It's fun to use MISHBY, Backmask, and Dumpster Fire all together in an FX chain, then fuck with the order. OR!! Have each on its own FX send and THEN send each of those FX into the others. Automating how much. ... SHIT!! I'm giving away my secrets ... heh "Stealing" let's you have them free too BTW. "Money is tight right now." . Combine their plugins with stuff from GlitchMachines and I tell you what!! Plus whatever-the-fuck in Reaktor? AWWW YEAH!! Glitch wonk WTF heaven. hmm WTF Music. I might hafta coin that genre name. Here and now.
MISHBY is a really cool one. Not necessarily a plugin I'll use on every track, but man, it's so dope sounding. I HIGHLY recommend paying something for it, even the 10 bucks, if you can't spend/don't think it's worth more than that. But pay something, please. We absolutely NEED more of this! :D
Ive not been so impressed/confused/Excited/pessamistic . but then squashed ny optimism with this Vid and the plug... I can also say, the faces I was pulling if I was to share, you'd think I was a Face puller Advisor, whom taught Jim Carrey.... Yes... This has been a most excellent vid... So good in fact... Im going to re watch it......
Big Thanks for this piece, i forgot their name and wasnt able to find them again a year ago ... was reading in some thread in the web about it. really need that horror maschines!
The plugin caused damage beyond repair, reminds me of "Everywhere at the end of time", I don't think I'll ever finish the album. Stopped after 2 hours and three skips, and I forgot forgetting the album.
I didn't realise the plug could do such wonders because I was too scared to try it, I think I'm going to have to revisit the site and pick it up, thanks for being a test subject for the plug
When you use it with drone sounds and long evolving soundshapes for ambient or deep chill out it can really produce some very useful and uncommon sounds. The other plugins from that company are really worth using. They produce some really unheard sounds if you use them with patience. No snake oil.
I think "rip us off" or "barely covers a coffee" is more appropriate than "steal" considering the alternative is me closing this browser and forgetting about it like most plugins or not me stealing it from you know those places.
This thing would be awesome for post production and for awesome trippy sections, maybe for intros in the music video version and stuff like this, its awesome! Most stuff you review is cool but can be done easy with other tools this is such a cool package that I really want it!
I'm friends with the owners, they're really great people. I have all their plugins. I used Backmask and Dumpster Fire on the record I did for Method Man, Ill Will and Blue Raspberry. Mishby is amazing! I use it all the time for transitions.
Would definitely have to try that on single instruments for sound design. There's no doubt in my mind there's a good use for that product. Somewhere somehow. Just need to experiment and play with it
Does this remind anyone of the OhmBoys GUI? OhmBoys let you select an optional GUI for each of their plugins that was also terrifying/evil (in a good way)
Love freakshow industries stuff. And I have actually bought their stuff. Use all the plugins in my productions. Big up! Not much said on this review video but still I think it was good for presenting the company and the plugin 😁😁
Finally I'll be able to add some emotion to music after so many years without, with blood running out of our eyes and this plugin is a major YES. Great mindfäck. Dude I want a tinnitus version/setting so bad now.
After being bombarded by "analog warmth" from every other company, this cosmic horror marketing is a welcome change.
Grit, hugh? Some chain of ring modulation, distortion, flanging, and a gritty input to start with...there was no analysis here. Just shitty labels on nicotine finger-thinking.
And they're so good at it.
Not SNAKE OIL, the plugin does exactly what is promissed :D
I have all their plugins. They are wild. I would say they are for sound design and glitching. You need to do rhythmic automation the output to get them musical. I fully love their sense of humor and their commitment to their brand. Just order a shirt and see what you get. This stuff is art on so many creepy and disturbing levels.
Been using them for a while. It's perfect for very specific sound design and when I'm out of ideas. It's gloriously cynical
...how is this comment two weeks old when it was only uploaded 4 hours ago. Is this some other reality-warping thing the plugin does
@@CLaw-tb5gg What? I just typed this comment this morning...... ;)
The reverser is great for dark reversed and melodies that have that bit of unpredictability

I do post production and freakshows has been a major part of sound design when it comes to weird noises and horror.
Same here. On the last game I did, Mishby was in few places, but especially Dumpster Fire was probably my main creative plugin. That's the first thing I try to use.
@@NihilQuestDumbster Fire is fire. And also a cool tool for tearout sound design

Kclip is great btw, just bought 3.5 and use it all the time, thank you kazrog 👍
Music: Happy, good life vibes
Mishby: imma about to end his whole emotions
Fun fact: the "software should be free" button gives you the software for free. This is not a joke
wow thats awesome lmao
All the buttons do
nice!! cheers!!
I love the packaging! greets from DenHaag!!!
Legit. They work off the concept that if the shit works for you, you'll pay what it's worth to you.
This is everything that is right about art and music!
“My brain is not evolved enough to understand this” 😂😍
🤯
he never even thought about Lovecraft while looking at the website
So yeah, as soon as the satanic voices started kicking in I knew I needed this.
i like how they really make the customers think about the issue of stealing plugins, but not in a desperate and mean way, but on the same level, which essentially elevates the customer to one of them
Oh it's snake oil. The snake is merely Cthulu Ry'leh snake and the oil is cosmic ooze.

i think it actually sounds not bad... i have no use case, but it seems to do the job well... whatever the job is...
It's a very experimental oriented plugin and it does it's job excellently

I don't think I've ever purchased a plugin as quickly as I did after watching this review. It's perfect for a project i'm working on right now.
It's definitely a creative plugin for those moments when you need something different. Like, you're making Sythnwave and you want it to sound like the song is on a cassette that's been sitting on your Camaro's dashboard, in the sun, for weeks.
Finally a "tape plugin" you like! lol
Interesting business .... model ....
Freakshow Industries is the perfect blend of "what the fuck is this", "niche", and "might as well try it on this sound". I love their stuff
That distortion by itself is a hidden gem though
I blame you! I got them all as trials immediately after this video of yours. They're currently available as a bundle for half the price, too - which is still a lot, but I just had to support such creative plugin builders!
Now I just wanna see reaction videos to this plugin from Warren Huart, Glenn Fricker, etc.
I am actually pretty impressed by the UI :D
I love all their plugins and love their style. I browse their website for hours while listening to Skinny Puppy and Ministry.
I LOVE MISHBY! usually use it in parallel though

A great laugh on a wet cold rainy pandemic day. Seriously cuts through every other serious plug-in out there!
This was your best video ever! Was laughing more than expected. Freakshow Industries is amazing 😂💙
amazing plugins, i really like the mishby promotion videos style \m/

freakshow is the bomb! sound designing plug-ins at it's best. dope for taking samples and flipping them into something unrecognizable to the original.
