You can use the free item coupons on bar soaps. Also with the exchange policy you should be able to pay the difference on whatever your candle rings up as on the register or even exchange and pay the dollar or so difference. I believe that's how we do it now but I would call the store you usually go to and check with them on what they would do.

I love Pink Petal Tea Cake it’s such a beautiful scent. I got about half way with my candle and the wax started to change color and wick got small so I ended up chopping it up into wax melts and it was so nice. I highly recommend chopping up the second candle you have and using it as wax melts instead.

I actually just bought some special wax bags so that I can finally give that a whirl with a few of my most beloved 3 wicks! I'll likely document the journey when I do!

I have a few of the PPTC in that packaging and haven’t had issues with them, hopefully you just got a one off bad one! I’ve learned with that and most vanilla based scents, I don’t let them burn more than 2-2.5 hrs at a time and it seems to help prevent the smokiness/ turning the wax gross. Another option is to dump off the layer of gross wax once it liquifies. I hate to do that bc I feel like I’m wasting it, but it’s better to take the loss and get to enjoy the fresh wax beneath I guess! Have you ever used a candle lamp? That may be another option for trouble candles

Thanks for those tips! I have heard of a candle lamp but it doesn't excite me to have to use that level of accessory in order to enjoy a candle. I'm a light it and leave it kind of gal 😝

New policy for exchange without receipt is price point for price point. If your candle was $24.50 it has to be $24.50 for an exchange. Most are ending in .95 now so it makes it very difficult. It also can't be a candle on sale for cheaper than yours if it's not the exact same price point.
I took one back over the weekend and it was $24.50, they only had THREE in the store to choose from for my exchange since everything was 24.95 or higher.
