I'm having trouble with the first step, dividing it in 5, is there another way? I can't seem to find lined paper that fits the size of my paper. (I am also unsure about the exact size of my paper, sorry)
Use a Ruler and a calculator to calculate either 2/5 or 3/5 of your paper length and go that far from one of the two edges. Worked fine for me. (I drew that distance on another piece of paper and layed it next to my workspace so I wouldn't have to use my ruler all the time.)

In addition of ideas, if you want your tail's snake to rattle, add some crumpled paper or paper stuff on the last end so if it was shaken, it has sounds. :3 Also, make it a little big so it won't fall off the hole of its tail

I was having trouble with folding the X part of the square but I ended up finishing it in 6 hours but that was a time killer cause I was so bored anyways keep up the awesome work !

yo if you have lego or another type of toy construction brick, there are lots of tutorials on how to make a smartphone holder. I hope this help and sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes
