The WORST Songs of the 2010s | Pop Dissected Podcast
Hey everybody and welcome to another Pop Dissected Podcast. In thinking of an idea for this episode, I figured I would look into what some considered to be the worst songs of the 2010s.
Now, there are tons of opinions and articles out there, everyone has a different opinion. I am going to reference this article from Insider, who I absolutely love. They have really interesting content.
This article also lists what they consider to be some of the best songs of the 2010s as well. There are eight songs they’ve considered the greatest of the great and the lowest of the low, so we’re gonna’ look at the bottom eight. We’ll be looking at artists like Eminem, Meghan Trainor, The Chainsmokers, The Black Eyed Peas, Brad Paisley, LL Cool J, Toby Keith, Robin Thicke, Pharell and LMFAO.
I encourage you to share your thoughts on these tracks and what are some other ones you think deserve to be on this list. We’ll go through all eight songs, read Insider’s description and I’ll give my two cents on it, so let’s get into it.

maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but this video made me realize I'd love to hear your take on some of the shift country music has seen.
My mom listened to a lot of country music when I was growing up, so I'm fairly familiar with a lot of 90s and 2000s country and it's crazy listening to some of that now and comparing it to what's on the radio and has been on the radio the last 10 or so years. There was just a lot more diversity in stories and song topics (though perspective/ background diversity definitely could have been better) than we see today. It's interesting to hear different people's take on the topic. 🤷🏼♀️
Alot of people have said country music has turned into bro country which are songs basically about driving in your pickup truck, drinking beer, fishing and picking up girls at a bar so it's basically every country stereotype with very shallow lyrics alot of the classics covered a variety of subjects in their music unlike today so it has changed alot

It’s also one of the creepiest song that ever existed. I don’t really care if it’s a “bop” (which it’s not. It sounds plastic and sounds like it’s trying way to hard to be a bubblegum pop song from the 50s)

Tons of juvenile lines, a pointless Snoop Dogg feature, and the instrumental is just annoying as hell
Dirty bit is definately one of the worst Black Eyed Peas hits but its not terrible?! Like its ok. I like the beat at least and how silly it is

Sexy and i know it + party rocking was the 2010s camp classic lmafo. I sang the S H I T out of them when i was a kid lol
"Hot Bling" by SnowFlake (Ooops... I mean, Drake🙊). I hate that song w/ a passion & EVERYTHING he's done since "Views" (even his collaboration albums - especially the trash he's got out now). Ever since "Hotline Bling" turned into a pop star, he's been trash. I never liked him before that but, at least his stuff was somewhat tolerable then.

I personally don't think DFH deserves to be on this list. Just my opinion. I listen to the lyrics and it just doesn't say sexism to my womanhood. Not at all. I like having my door held open for me, that doesn't make me a self hating anti-feminist.
Omg red solo cup… my dad and brother and I used to listen to it and just laugh! It’s such a funny song and not in our lane at all but I think that is it’s purpose.

Hi pop dissected. I really like the video. As usual I was very excited to watch it. But I’m gonna tell my opinion about these songs. Dirty Bit is awful. I love the time of my life, the 80s song. And to see the song with the Black Eyed Peas makes me so sad. Red Solo Cup isn’t that bad ONLY BECAUSE I don’t take it seriously. It is a hilarious joke. Sexy and I know is TERRIBLE. I hated it even as a kid who liked anything. And I still hate it today and the music video DEFINITELY made it worse. Blurred lines disappoints me. This is because the potential was there to make it good but the lyrics really turned many people off including me. Accidental Racist… not gonna lie idk what to say. Selphie is in a similar place to Red Solo cup because i take it as a joke. Dear Future Husband is catchy but I do think the lyrics and video were a little cringe.

10. The Weekend - The Hills (2015).
(One of those songs that makes you look like a worthless whiner).
09. Justin Bieber feat Ludacris - Baby (2010).
(I hope at least they didn't torture Ludacris to read his guest verse).
08. Jason Derulo feat Snoop Dogg - Wiggle (2014).
(TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE!) .
07. Rihanna feat Chris Brown - Birthday cake (Remix) (2012).
(What could be better than a duet with an abuser) .
06. Post Malone feat Ty Dolla Sign - Psycho (2018).
(I've been thinking for a long time which Post Malone song to choose and this one will definitely show his uselessness as an artist).
05. Maroon 5 feat Cardi B - Girls like you (2019).
(It's the most boring song I've ever seen. A pathetic parody of Imagine Dragons) .
04. Taylor Swift - Look what you made me do (2017).
(Okay, be old Taylor can't come to the phone. Why? Oh, because her career is dead).
03. The Black Eyed Peas - The Time (Dirty bit).
(2011).
(Some kind of piece of shit, made up in a hurry. I am not surprised that after that the cup of patience was overflowing) .
02. Miley Cyrus - We can't stop (2013).
(A song with a mention of drugs, about sex and a party. A small bit and a clip after which you will be drawn to vomit. And all this is from Miley Cyrus, who is more harmless than a canary) .
01. Rihanna feat Drake - Work (2016).
(The winner of this top. I was very disappointed with this song. I just couldn't believe that she just released this song. Alas, this is too much of a drop in quality).
P.S : People, understand. "Blurred lines" was conceived as a joke based on the age of the participants. Not everyone understood this, but she did not carry the same misogynistic message that she was prescribed. The song itself, as for me, is even cheerful and suitable for a drunken party.

Not gonna lie, LWYMMD is one of my least favourite TS songs. To this day I wish that I Did Something Bad would have been the lead single. That being said, LWYMMD has an awesome music video. Also, I actually think that Reputation is way better than Lover.
All of the songs are terrible in 2010's the music is been dead.
