Honestly it's not expensive for the quality you are getting, i own one, i own a Rolex also, i'm very happy with my NOVE Trident watch.

I like the bracelet and I like the butterfly clasp. I even kind of like the bezel, it’s completely different to any other bezel. I like the MOP dial and I like that it is different. I really like the build quality. I really like the domed sapphire crystal.
I don’t like that it has no chapter ring. I hate that the second hand is too short and I don’t like that the hour and minute hands look look too small and out of place. I don’t like that there is no lume on the bezel. The lume used on the dial and hands is way too weak! For the price, the lume should have been far better.
Would I buy it… No! It would need a lot of changes for me to even think about it.
Would I wear it… Yes. Purely because it is so different and I like a MOP dial.

I like it much. The only thumb down is the hands. Too small and out of the character of watch. I shall prefer something more plopprof-ish for the hands.

Packaging doesn't make or break a watch for me. If you are like me you have a closet full of plastic and cardboard boxes that do nothing. I'd rather save the money a company could spend on packaging and put it towards an extra strap or discount the watch.
